Food and service were pretty good, didn't quite match the price. Valet was excellent. Overall I would skip and go to Che-Ah-Chi 15 mins down the road. Better food, atmosphere, service, and value.

I had an incredible experience at Forty 1. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, stylish, and inviting. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, and every detail—from seating to timing—was handled perfectly. The food was the real standout. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. You can tell the chef puts serious care and creativity into the menu. The drinks were crafted just as thoughtfully, and the entire meal flowed effortlessly. Forty 1 has that rare mix of amazing food, fantastic service, and a vibe that makes you want to stay longer. It's easily one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. Highly recommended—I'll definitely be coming back!

We dined at the luxurious Forty 1 in beautiful Sedona, Arizona for the Thanksgiving Experience. The food was good overall, with the stars of the show being the 1st and 4th courses (butternut squash soup with apple and cheesecake, respectively). The service was impeccable and I couldn't be more impressed. The issue I had was being seated directly next to the busy kitchen door. When we arrived at 6:30pm, there were several open tables, but I figured they were reserved for others who would arrive around the same time we did. However, it was over an hour before anyone was seated at some of those tables and several of them were never occupied. I'm not sure why we weren't given better seating since I made our reservation well over a month in advance. That part somewhat tainted my Thanksgiving Experience.

Food is overpriced what is served - both in terms of volume and flavor. We were also initially seated in a corner by the tarp wall, even though the restaurant was mostly empty. We won't be coming back.

The prices are comparable to a Michelin restaurant, so we expected a Michelin experience. We were happy that it is an adult restaurant after being surrounded by kids at mariposa the night before. Service and space are pretty close to Michelin. The food wasn't. The lamb chops were good including the vegetables. The crab cake was soggy, the fish was too seared/burned and the parsnip with the fish was light and bland. The drinks were fine, but at $30 we expected amazing. We will keep an eye out, and we hope to return to an experience that is on par with the price.

The place is upscale , the hotel is beautiful The food was just ok, no thing remarkable for the price The service was too much c they came to our table way too many times to ask how everything was , that's always nice , but there is a thin line when becomes annoying

Came here after proposing to my fiancée and the experience from start to end was top notch. The food was incredible and service truly made the night extra special. It was simply a wonderful experience and has set the bar for any future celebrations.

There were four of us in our party and each one of us had an exceptional experience. The menu is fairly small and our Server explained every dish to us. She was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. We were never rushed and were made to feel welcome by every staff member we came into contact with. There are some food allergies in our family and we were accommodated without hesitation. At some higher end restaurants, you can be made to feel like a pain if you need to exchange ingredients. Not the case at Forty1.

It was an absolute relaxing time. We had live music of a singer violin combo and amazing service. The vibe was calming and slow paced with a dark romance ambiance. Everyone was so friendly and engaging.

Beautiful ambience. Musician playing soft music. Vast drink selection, delicious desserts and great service. Food was mediocre which surprised me. I have the lobster tacos. The lobster filling was delicious but the taco shells were not warm or cooked. Just soft, slightly soft. The fillet wasn't very tender and was not seasoned. The flavor relied solely on the béarnaise sauce and paired well, but the steak itself as bland.

Arrived hungry and open minded but sadly not a good experience. Very expensive but the service was not particularly attentive and the food was in my opinion unacceptable. My grouper was on the burnt side and tasteless, wife's chicken dish wasn't much better— truly could get better food at any middle of the road restaurant. It's been a while since I was this disappointed.

We had the most amazing experience tonight, our server Marry so personable and knowledgeable. And the food... Was divine. Thank you for making my birthday such a special experience.

Service was delightful, anniversary dinner , delighted us with complementary champagne. Lobster tacos amazing, just came back from Maine and had Lobster Rolls, but these tacos were so flavorful. A must. Had the Filet Mignon excellent. Shrimp and Grits, also excellent. Desert was Pecan Pie, very sweet but really delicious. We sat outside in October, very peasant environment. We really enjoyed it, 5 Stars !

High-class, end-to-end. We arrived at the resort which is home to Forty1. After exiting our car and handing the keys to the valet, there was a short ride from the entrance to the restaurant, nestled well inside the resort (you cannot see it from the road). It was already after dark when we arrived, and the restaurant was a breathtaking sight: subdued lighting, gentle heat (we dined under the stars), and tasteful, live music at a volume that we could enjoy both the music and our intimate conversation. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary (I disclosed this when I made the reservation on OpenTable), and were greeted at the table with champagne! The food and drink selections were outstanding, and portions were generous. Our server Scott was snappy, eminently attentive, and spot-on knowledgeable about all the menu items as well as the specials. Scott made it his mission to ensure that everything about our visit was exactly right. We ordered grouper (the special), crab cake, filet mignon, asparagus, and salad. Every bit of it was astoundingly good. I haven't had a filet that good in a LONG time. Dessert was chocolate mouse cake and an Old Fashioned. Perfection. Forty1 is top-notch, start to finish. It does Sedona proud.

Excellent lobster tacos. Very creative and beautiful cocktails. The tartare was good but came “deconstructed” and so took a lot of mixing to make it tasty- otherwise it would have been just bland chopped steak with some decorative stuff on top. The lamb chops were very under-seasoned and the accompanying brussel sprouts that were supposed to be crispy came mushy with minimal caramelization. And the entire dish came out a little on the cold side. Finally, the mousse cake tasted vaguely of onions like it or one of the ingredients was kept too near chopped onions in the fridge. The service was stellar and our server was fun and super attentive. The bartender likewise was super fun and knew her craft... but the food was kinda meh (other than the lobster tacos- those were excellent!) Maybe it was just on off night for the kitchen?
