Our waiter was amazing! His suggestions of what to try definitely did not disappoint, the pulpo parilla was FANTASTIC!

Thank you to all the staff for helping make this the best anniversary dinner my wife and I have had. It definitely sets the bar higher for future fine dining experiences we will have. Thank you!

DO NOT waste your time or money here. Before I go to any restaurant, I always check reviews and photos, and I noticed a bunch of complaints about a 3% “operations fee.” I decided to look into it — and sure enough, it’s still being charged.

What’s ridiculous is that the owner originally claimed this 3% fee was added to cover rising food and labor costs instead of increasing menu prices. But when you actually compare the menus from a year ago to now, the prices have gone up anyway. For example, the empanadas were $18 a year ago when the 3% fee first appeared, and now the current menu (posted just five months ago) lists them at $22 — that’s a $4 increase plus the same 3% fee. Even the cocktails have gone up by about $2 each in the same period.

So not only are the menu prices higher, but customers are still being charged an extra fee that was supposed to prevent those exact price hikes. It’s misleading and greedy, they are taking your money! If you don’t believe me look at the time stamps on her own menus

The food was amazing, the view stunning , the service great. We had empanadas , yucca fries , salad and pulled pork tostadas . My peruvian wife was happy to see pisco sour on the drink list. The only complaint is. I bought a dress shirt to wear due to the dress code warnings, only to see people in tshirts, shirts and sneakers. Im sure dinner they adhere to the rules. Great Great place..

Caesar was a fantastic host. Very knowledgeable and helpful. The meal was top notch from appetizer to dessert. When visiting Sedon, this is a must go to destination restaurant.

We have been coming to Mariposa over the last several years and everything is superb!!! The overall atmosphere and views match the food and ambiance along with the attention to detail!!! This is our most favorite restaurant in the world!! We will be back tonight again for our farewell dinner and are so much looking forward to another great experience!! Well done Lisa!!!

Overhyped place!

Food was pretty bland - especially the veggie delight which was a very small portion and the quinoa had 0 seasonings!

Wouldn’t recommend this place because all the dining spots in Sedona offer the same great views outside & so much more quality food.

The sides which come the main are not properly stated (on the menu) and was rushed by the server. We ended up getting the same side for 2 mains. (Which was also not a good pairing)

Let me start by saying I NEVER write food reviews, but after this experience and letting the experience mellow for a bit I feel like I have to voice my concerns. My wife and I booked a dinner here for our 10 Year Anniversary meal. We researched the surrounding restaurants heavily before making the reservation, and with the amount of positive reviews we were expecting so much more for the price paid. Started out with the Beef Empanadas which were very good. Nothing to write home about but good never the less. Then came the entrees, the Filet for my wife and the Boneless Ribeye for myself. My wife’s Filet was cooked medium as ordered but was lacking flavor and tasted burnt. My Ribeye was ordered medium as well but looked to be overcooked slightly (more medium well to well done) and also lacked any flavor. The quality of meat also left a lot to be desired for the price paid, especially for the Boneless Ribeye. For sides we ordered the Grilled Asparagus and the Roasted Potatoes. The Grilled Asparagus tasted like they just threw raw Asparagus on the grill and took it off. No seasoning, no sauce (garlic butter as was described), just grilled raw Asparagus. The potatoes were actually very good but a little small on the “shareable” portion size. Overall the service was fine, but with the other options in town I feel as though if you’re paying a “premium” then you should receive a premium product, which this was certainly not. Maybe it was an off night/day but when you are paying “premium” prices the food should at least be flavorful and somewhat worth the cost associated with a dining experience such as this. In all honesty, my wife and I have had better steaks from chain restaurants which should not be the case. We are not locals, as I imagine most that come visit this establishment are not, so I write this review in hopes that maybe think twice before
booking a reservation here or at least maybe temper your expectations about the food your going to receive.

Good views and ambiance but you get that pretty much anywhere in Sedona if you sit outside. Service is good too

Food is average at best with overpriced dishes that are not seasoned well ( most basic ). Sedona has so many great spots this shouldn’t be in your list if you want great food.

Plus they have an annoying “operations fees” that makes 0 sense with an already overpriced menu

I really wanted to give this place a higher rating because almost everything was great. The host was friendly, the food was delicious, and the overall atmosphere was wonderful. The drinks were outstanding — easily some of the best I’ve had in a while — and the pulpo Padilla was my absolute favorite dish of the night.

However, one thing really ruined the experience for me. While sitting at the bar, I saw the bartender — a man with long hair and glasses — serve alcohol to someone who was clearly underage. He didn’t check her ID, and it honestly looked like he might have been too busy chatting or flirting with her to notice (or maybe he already knew her). Either way, it’s not right and definitely not something that should happen in a place like this.

It’s disappointing because everything else about the restaurant was excellent, but witnessing that really left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope management takes this seriously, because it’s not a good look for an otherwise great establishment.
