This place was disappointing from the very start. Right away, our greeter was on his phone and wasn’t off his phone the entire time he brought us to our seats.
We were brought water, and started with the mac and cheese and pretzels for our appetizers. When asked about a life threatening egg allergy that pertained to the Mac and cheese, our server was extremely hesitant to check with the kitchen and only went off what she thought it was. Not only was she abrasive to this, but she was also extremely unwelcoming and rude about my allergy question. I doubt she even checked, as she didn’t tend to anyone else and was later seen eating food with other team members in the dining area.
When we got our food, we were THOROUGHLY underwhelmed. The mac and cheese did not have what it said it had on the menu. We instead got basic pasta with cheese melted on it. Plainly put, it sucked, and was the most low effort version of a mac and cheese I’ve ever had. The pretzels as well were disappointing and clearly packaged and microwaved. Maybe from Costco? Not to mention the cheese that was disgusting and tasted old. All of it was sprinkled with this parmesan that I’ve seen at Frys. It was low effort and basic.
After this abhorrent first impression, my girlfriend and I decided to leave. We had already ordered the fish and chips and a burger, and said that we wanted to cancel our order and pay for the appetizers that we got. Unfortunately, our food had already gotten to us before we could find our server to request this. We were extremely disappointed with our experience with the appetizers, and we decided that if the food was ANYTHING like the appetizers, we were better off finding dinner somewhere else and not wasting our time with the main dishes.
The server, from earlier, was incredibly disrespectful to my girlfriend, and didn’t understand why we wanted to just pay for the appetizers we had eaten and leave. The server did not let us take the food off our bill and still made us pay for it and take it. The server claimed there were no other options, and we would have to pay for it whether we took the food or not.
When we asked to speak to a manger, we were told that there was not a manager onsite. What kind of place doesn’t have a manager during open hours? That is terrible management and obviously leads to disrespectful staff and terrible treatment of customers.
I am incredibly displeased with our experience at the Oak Creek Brewery and Grill. There is zero surprise as to why the place was sparse and poorly staffed.
In response to the restaurant’s comment:
You did NOT do everything to accommodate my allergy. How is your server guessing on if the food has an allergen safe to a guest or anyone seeking to purchase from this establishment? We seemed to inconvenience the server by asking if our food had the allergen I was worried about. We clearly shared our complaints with the server, and instead of being understanding and accepting of our complaint, she was outright disrespectful and fought us on what we said. The management team is a joke, and obviously isn’t present within the restaurant; as there wasn’t a manger on duty during open hours. This is despite us being at the restaurant 3-4 hours before closing.
The restaurant is unable to take criticism about very clear issues that is struggling with. The restaurant frequently discredits and undermines other comments as well, despite many of them saying the exact same things as other comments
Don’t waste your time with this place.

We had a party of 5 for lunch . We all had an alcoholic beverage and an app/entree . The server was trying to rush us to pay but we were not done eating and wanted to order a dessert . A few minutes later the manager came over and told us we had been there too long and needed to leave. The server had not even brought our bill yet and we were still eating our dessert . (The food was not great either ) The staff was plain rude . When we left , there was not even anyone waiting for a table at the front of the restaurant . Do not recommend !

Can't remember the last time I went to a restaurant and EVERYTHING was delicious. We ordered chicken wings, pizza, a sandwich, and I personally ordered the mango and strawberry salad. I was astonished and quite upset that my table could not finish our food in one sitting because if we had the stomach space we would have finished it all. I highly recommend eating here if in the Sedona area.

Good burgers and friendly staff! Good selection of local beer! Clean and inviting atmosphere! The general manager Nathan Schreiber is an outstanding guy, we could have talked all day about getting back out in the woods!

We went during happy hour, though we did the Seven Dearves flight to taste all options. They were out of one I wanted to try, but my husband loves IPA which they subbed for the porter. The smoke house burger was excellent and the pretzels were worth trying.

We went for Happy Hour and they did not disappoint!! The service with Angela was top notch. Our charcuterie board included with the 1/2 off appetizers was more than generous!!! Great hidden gem for Happy Hour specials!! We will be back!!

Tried to go for dinner and a beer and they were supposed to be open till 7:30pm. We showed up at 7:10 and they were closed. Another couple was also turned away. They are crossed off my list - will find another place in Sedona. We were staying at Los Abrigados, right across the parking lot. Very Poor Management to close early.

Just hit up Oak creek brewery and grill, and I gotta say, the food was on point! Seriously, everything tasted amazing. If you're looking for a spot with great food and a laid-back vibe, this place is a solid choice.

Atmosphere of place was a little off from the rest of Sedona. Server was not very happy when all we ordered was a beer and an appetizer. Pretty good food and beer and what we had though.

Shady!! 18% gratuity added for a party of 5! When we question the server he stated it was on a plaque upon entry. THERE was NOT. It was a different sign stating only a 2 split check was allowed. They then showed in SMALL PRINT at the bottom of the menu of this ludicrous charge!
This service was far under a 18% TIP!! Over 6 minutes to be greated for drinks, we went at 5 pm, not busy, busser dropped drinks scattering them around the table sloppy and not even attempting to make it on any of the coasters placed by waiter. Upon the end of the meal server tossed check on the table, without offering dessert. His service far below being a 18% tip.
I understand large parties for added gratuity, but 5? Ridiculous. The biggest complaint is the staff continued to walk around staring at their cell phones, even watched our server share items off his phone to the bartender.
We have been here 4 times and it has never got better. Now that they think a hidden 18% tip is right, its not! Complete wrong and shady business technique. Attached photo is our receipt, looks like tax fraud to me!! When he took my card he didnt even had me sign confirming the amount and the absurd 18% tip. This is America we should have a choice to tip or not to tip!!

We can for happy hour and had $5 craft beers and 1/2 price appetizers. The beers were good but not the best part of the meal. The quesidilla was delicious and the wings were probably the best I’ve ever had. Slightly different flavor than most hot wings. The ranch also has a slight horseradish flavor and was so good.
Overall good experience and delicious food!
