Friendly service, and modern retro vibe, but the food wasn’t for me, even though I bet many people enjoy it. Personally I don’t enjoy rich white sauces that cover up over flavors of ingredients, and both the shrimp and grits and pasta carbonara were drowning in it. If I were to go back I would give something without a white sauce a chance.

Came here for the first night of the trip, kind service and I believe fair pricing. The Baja Fish Tacos and the guac were my favorite part of the meal.

Service is fantastic, which is why Rascals gets five stars. Trying a bit too hard to be inventive so some of the dishes are a bit too busy. Donte (sp?) was amazing. Top notch attentive service.

Came here for a birthday, and everyone was super friendly and the atmosphere was great. We were able to see the sunset as we ate, and were surprised with a special birthday dessert. However, the food was somewhat lacking. We ordered the ahi nachos for the table, and also had the wagyu burger, fish tacos, and spaghetti bolognese. The ahi nachos were decent, but the fish could have been fresher and the portion was pretty small for 20 dollars. The burger and tacos were okay, but nothing special. The spaghetti was oily and the noodles were somewhat overcooked.

Super long waiting time, waited for around 45mins for the food.
Fries are super salty
The burger is super hard
The chicken is super dry
The only one delicious thing is the salad

There are literally almost no meals nor appetizers, nor dessert that are suitable for gluten free, nor for vegans or even vegetarians. I am GF and my friend is vegetarian and another non dairy and the options were almost nothing. I was able to eat the pepper appetizer. The first one was good and mild so we ordered another and the second was so hot that no one could eat it. The tuna I ate off of the tuna nachos was very good. I asked not once, but twice for my soup to be gluten free and it came with the croutons anyway. Thank God I am not celiac. I didn't have time to ask for a new one as the main course was already coming out by the time I could have. So I just picked them out. But that's not OK when I asked twice for gluten free.
My steak was wonderful, but I did order the most expensive steam on the menu. The mashed potatoes were great too but for the price my side of potato's was a few tablespoons and my side of carrots was 3 mini carrots. Delicious but barely enough to pair with the 18oz steak that I got. So it left my longing. My friends got the smaller steak and, unfortunately it was so small that they all also felt dissatisfied. But those were the only 2 steak choices on the menu.
My friend was so excited for the strawberry shortcake. But there was a ton of dry biscuit and literally no strawberry sauce. There was a bit of whipped cream and a few slices of strawberry. My friend said it was very dry and lacking. I had the creme brulee and it was an astounding upper layer and the lower layer was also amazing in consistency and sweetness. But I would have loved something dun added to it. I saw one made with homemade almond tequila somewhere... things like that.
Also of their food was very bland.
All the people with dietary restrictions left feeling left out.
The food that was acceptable basic was very good for what it was. Nothing unique about the potatoes or steak but they were very nicely done. So kudos for that.

Dietary restrictions: Almost nothing someone with a gluten allergy or preference can eat.

Being a local of Sedona I find myself at Rascals frequently.
The bartender/server- Jarod- is the best. Always calm, cool and collected. Personable, authentic, and patient. He knows his stuff.
The Mercer organization is really fortunate to employ him.

Amazing food and Lily, the server made us feel at home. Large portion sizes. Totally worth the money. Absolutely loved the Hatch Chile soup with Chicken. Penne pasta carbonara and grilled chicken sandwich were equally great.

Hodgepodge of dishes, no theme. We were very curious about the San Francisco shrimps and grits given we are native of SF and never heard of it. Guess what? The price was definitely San Franciscan, the dish was sent back to the kitchen, terrible... the grits was pretty much soupy, half the plate was filled with celery -a cheap filler. To the restaurant's credit, they kindly offered to comp us.

Great food! I ordered fish tacos that were excellent and portion size was fair. We also loved the Ahi tuna appetizer. My partner had an amazing cocktail. I tried the local bear that I didn't like :)
