Redemption! 2 years ago we had a not great experience and haven't been back until at the urging of friends this week. We went Wednesday at Happy Hour had a great experience and will be back!
The tuna nachos are AMAZING! Party in your mouth is how the waitress described them and she was spot on! My husband had the meatloaf and I had spaghetti bolognese. Both dishes were very very good. Rascal Modern Diner is definitely a great choice!
The service was good and the wine list was also pretty good. The issue I have is I ordered the Ahi tuna nachos expecting a crisp, salty nacho covered with an ahi tuna blend on top. What I got was a beautiful Ahi tuna blend on top with very fresh tuna, wasabi dressing, avocado, and a fruit relish. The topping was delightful. When I bit into the nacho, however, I tasted sugar. I thought it was a mistake so I pointed it out to the waiter. He smiled and said the chef likes to try...
