A romantic spot with a sophisticated menu. The rack of lamb was the highlight for us!

I’m deeply disappointed with the way management handled our unpleasant lunch experience. A waitress spilled a drink all over my hair, sweater, and pants. I understood it was an accident and didn’t make a scene or complain. Despite it being accidental, it had a significant impact on my day, as having a drink spilled on you is never a good experience. Additionally, my father-in-law persisted with complaints about the spill throughout lunch, and I could feel how uncomfortable my husband and daughter had become, which made lunch completely unpleasant. My sweater and pants were wet, and it was extremely cold outside. I feel it would have been more appropriate for the restaurant to offer additional gestures beyond just comping the spilled drink in order to fully rectify the situation and make amends. As a former restaurant manager, I would have gone to great lengths to make things right. It's unfortunate that a supposedly classy establishment failed to live up to its reputation.

Good wine selection (global), portion size big by French standards, foie gras, mushroom pastry, salmon were delicious.Kid-friendliness: Well-behaved kids only. Fine dining so if your kids run around and can't be seated and quiet, this isn't the place.

We stopped by earlier for dinner this week. Our server was Keenan! He was amazing!! He greeted us well and answered all our questions, recommended his favorite dishes. Overall our food was fabulous! I will definitely be back and I hope to have Keenan as my server again.

We were skeptical because of the mixed reviews online, but we had a good experience. Good food, cocktails, ambience and reasonable service.

What a waste of money. It took an hour to get our appetizer. Our wait staff knew nothing of wine, which they should for this price point. Our waiter had to use the number system (number 4 under the red) instead of the wine name and then brought out the wrong bottle. The food was good but not impressive in any way.

Average. A bit to pricey for what is offered. Service was average. Menu wasn't appealing to me personally.

This is one of the best places in Sedona for fine dining. We started with the Hot Crab & Artichoke Dip, OMG it was delicious... (I would definitely come back and get it again)For dinner my wife went with the Seared Diver Scallops & Osetra Caviar along with the Truffled Risotto as the side dish. Scallops were cooked perfectly and the Risotto was fantastic. (she even shared a little with me)I was wanting a great steak and ordered the 22 oz Porterhouse with a side of Duck-fat fries. OMG I was in heaven. The steak came out cooked a perfect mediun-rare and was one of best tasting steak that I ever had. The Duck-fat fries, were Duck-fat fries (enough said)

One of my best meal experiences in a long time. Beto, our server, was extremely attentive and was a pleasure. The lunch time meal was our best meal of our trip to Sedona. Thank you.

Delicious food, elegant atmosphere, and exceptional service. It felt like a trip to France in beautiful Sedona.

When we arrived at Rene at Tlaquepaque, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The atmosphere had a wonderfully friendly vibe. Originally, we had planned to dine on the patio, but due to the temperature, we requested to be moved inside. Without any hesitation, our reservation was promptly moved indoors. We were seated towards the back, near a mirror in the main dining room. The view of the courtyard fountain and the visitors passing by added to the special moment. To celebrate our anniversary, our table was beautifully decorated with a rose petal arrangement. Our waiter, Allan V, was absolutely outstanding! We started with two delicious appetizers: Spanish Garlic Shrimp (Gambas Al Ajillo) and Escargot. The shrimp was cooked to perfection with shaved garlic, dried Arbol chili, bay leaf, sherry, butter, parsley, and roasted red bell pepper. The escargot, baked in flaky pastry with roasted garlic, sherry mushrooms, was equally delightful. For the next course, we enjoyed two incredibly tasty soups: Normandy Brie with Black Truffles and French Onion. The Normandy Brie soup had a rich flavor enhanced by black truffles, while the French Onion soup had caramelized onions, garlic croutons, and a three-cheese blend. As for our main courses, we savored the Roast Rack of Lamb with a mustard crust, served with Shallot green beans and creamy whipped potatoes. We also had the Chef's choice of Chilean Sea Bass. Both dishes were exquisite.Throughout the evening, Allan checked on us multiple times to ensure everything was perfect. We had initially planned on having dessert, but we were too full. However, Allan insisted that we couldn't leave without dessert. Within minutes, he returned with a beautifully presented dessert, complete with a candle. We were truly touched by this thoughtful gesture and the respect shown to us as strangers celebrating our anniversary. We are at a loss for words to express our gratitude to the entire staff at Rene at Tlaquepaque. We will definitely be returning!

Overall, our experience at Rene at Tlaquepaque was very good. The service was good but not distinguished. One member of our party was celebrating a birthday, and a beautiful and delicious dessert was brought to her along with four forks so the rest of the table could share--no extra plates or napkins. Also, none of the rest of us was asked if we wanted dessert! That was strange. The food was heavily seasoned but good; however, the portions were huge! I had salmon baked in phyllo, and although I have a hearty appetite, it was easily large enough for two. From the bar--I had an excellent vodka martini, made exactly as I ordered. It was great!
