Good place for groceries - good selection of organic fruits and vegetables and also vegan alternatives.
They use very long lines at checkout to force you to use the self checkout - 15 minute wait to check out - dont go there.
Groceries. They had a great selection and the staff were very friendly. IT was a pleasant experience.
I have had trouble with the App 6 out of 6 times with Safeway — the prices are tourist insane $10 for a bag of chips?! Unless you use their APP which half the time doesn’t work. You stand there in the aisle trying to take a picture of the barcode having people yell at you to MOVE. And the sale does not come up right. I have asked for help each time and fitting pretty rough attitudes. So nationally you can use the flyer coupon. Which I do but the local deals you can not. And 6 out of 6 times the avocados were not $1 they came up $5 or the chips were $10 not $2. I don’t want to play this game anymore. I my pay more but I have had it with the cashier not wanting to honor the sale. Frustration all around. Every single time. The grocery store should not be this difficult!!!
Food pick up was accurate. Nice service. It was a big order as we were staying in Sedona with family for a few days so we needed the order to be accurate
Clean and well stocked store. To go lunch items are delicious (I for the pita cracker and the tuna salad dip).
Busy, overpriced, horrible service. Just go to Whole Foods where you are going to pay a lot but at least the experience and food are good
We were in Sedona for a week and need some essentials and snacks to get us through. Found everything we needed and a few extras :) I always like Safeways :) :) :)
We found everything we needed for a week's stay in Sedona. Decent select and good prices. We bought basics like cereal, PB, jam, bread, fruit, milk, cream, melon, and pretzels.
Had a large on line order for delivery. No delivery service available per Safeway management after already paid for and scheduled. We were asked to wait or pick up ourselves. We’re charged $42 for delivery drive tip with no delivery. No receipt because we were told computers not working - yet the computers worked just fine to charge the full amount to our card. Talked to Safeway a few times - said ‘Back stage Team’ had to correct. POOR customer service - charged inappropriate- I would not go back - there are many other stores in the area to try.

The other major choices in Sedona are Whole Foods, Clarks, and Basha's. Clark's is the only one in the Oak Creek direction and the others are all up on 89A (other direction from Uptown). Safeway's footprint is quite large and the selection is extensive. We did shop at the other stores and find Safeway to be more in line with what we'd expected to be paying. Deli, wine selection, fresh meats, fruits and vegetables, all was good! The store was very clean and the displays were enticing.
I guess I have never had to review a supermarket in any of my 1,100 plus submitted to Tripadvisor so I was kind of surprised by them being on the website for Sedona. However, the Safeway on 89A was very close to our motel and had snacks , drinks, and even a small amount of souvenirs for Sedona...They store is clean, very organized, and the staff was more than friendly the couple of times I needed assistance.( you know like wine...) And they had a great wine department. This Safeway was just what visitors to Sedona, especially first timers needed when looking for vacation essentials.
Needed to purchase a few gallons of water and snacks. The store was clean, it was east to find the items we needed, and the prices seemed reasonable.
Very friendly staff here. We bought chicken salad, and other staples for our timeshare stay at Safeway. They let me join the discount club, prices were better than Whole Foods, and we would recommend anyone to shop here for your stay.
If you need help or ask questions they act like you are bothering them and roll their eyes. They act like they own the place. One of them made several snide comments to me. I'm headed to Basha's.
