Enjoyed the walking distance from our rental to get our coffee. Boys where able to get their vittles and walk across the street and fish. The barista was always smiling and call us by name by the 3rd day. He was so patient and makes a mean cappuccino!! I always remembered it as The Butterfly Inn that our family used to go to often. Same service and quality, which is unmatched! Thanks again for the memories.

It was such a nice cabin. Everything was clean and the bedrooms large, the kitchen was good and the bathroom quite adequate. The host was wonderful and accommodating. The atmosphere was peaceful and the creek just across the road was private. Nice spots to sit with tables and chairs and great fishing. Will be back and will tell everyone to come visit

Tre was awesome with the local watering hole recommendation. Great coffee, beautiful backdrop and lovely energy.
What a wonderful experience to have private creek access to unwind and enjoy the beautiful views and of course weather! The grounds were well maintained along with clean and cozy cabins! My family and I can hardly wait to go back!!! Rosanna T.
Noteworthy details: So nice to have a small general store that specializes in gourmet coffees!!!

There are newer and more comfortable cabins in Oak Creek, but the outstanding service and coffee and pastries, as well as the 5 minute walking access to the creek is so worth it. Prices are fair and Sean (manager) is accommodating of any customer need or request. Shout out to Trey (barista+) too. Very professional and kind. I highly recommend. Don Hoel"s Cabins and Coffee Shop. Will book again.

The employee who is there 24/7 on the grounds should be commended for excellence! The nicest most accommodating service he provided is something to write about! I hope the company acknowledges great employees because he made all the difference in the world! It was very nice in general but he just made it excellent! A place I would recommend highly with this type of service and hospitality! Everyone there was very nice! Something you hardly ever see anymore!

Nice place to stay, reasonably priced close to Sedona. Shawn's customer service is expectational! We had a few issues but he made sure to address them.

Most charming cabins in Oak Creek! Was charmed by Trey the barrista, who crafted the most delicious Mayan coffee ever and was super sweet and helpful. Cabins are quaint and romantic. Private creek access and a wonderful swimming hole made our stay magical ❤️?️

I can't say enough about our fantastic experience at our experience. Every member of the staff was helpful, friendly and had fantastic suggestions. I can't believe how affordable this place is. I almost don't want to ruin this secret spot.
The location was absolutely perfect. The property has gorgeous private creek access where you can have a glass of wine with no one else in sight, lush forest, and views of the beautiful canyon cliffs. The drive to the cabin on 89A was stunning, the cabin was only a couple minutes drive from a modern restaurant where you can get a craft cocktail and very good food and it was only 10-15 minutes to downtown Sedona. Also it was only a short drive from the Weft Fork Trail (voted the 3rd best hike in the country)! There was a coffee shop on site that I would put up against any trendy place in a big city. You could find delicious typical drinks black coffee, hot chocolate, chai, cappuccinos, and barista-designed drinks that you won't find anywhere else. The coffee shop's market had lots of convenient items like alcohol, snacks, and basic toiletries so you wouldn't have to drive into town if you forgot something... TRY THE COOKIES! Also, there is a very cool business center if you need good WIFI.
Our historic log cabin was from the 1920s and was comfortable and provided the perfect balance between a rustic forest experience and a relaxing, cozy vacation spot. It had a kitchen with a stove, oven, microwave, and grill outside, and the bed was comfortable and clean. The staff had plenty of fun board games to choose from. We were far enough from the other cabins that we hardly noticed them. Also, there was a well-maintained volleyball/badminton court on the property that was very fun!
If you're looking for a great weekend escape from the Phoenix heat, are visiting Sedona and want an affordable, nearby cabin that will steal the show or just want a quiet picture-perfect destination to have a glass of wine by the river and decompress... this place is it!

These cabins are adorable and are a must when trying to have the ultimate escape. Cabin #15 was very spacious for a family. Things are run down (cracked bathroom counter top, scuffed up floors/walls, non-working lights, broken chair/dresser/window shade) but, I think it adds to the rustic charm. None of the run down items negatively impacted our stay. The kitchen had pots and pans but was limited on the cooking utensils (mostly plastic which was not good for grilling). The parking is VERY tight. For those traveling with bigger vehicles or trailers, they have additional parking across the street. The creek is accessible across the street. Even with the cabins at full occupancy, the creek was like your own private oasis. There’s only wifi at the onsite coffee shop and it’s very spotty which is not ideal for folks working remotely. Cell phone (T-Mobile) service at the cabin is nonexistent. The manager, Shawn, is what makes this place top notch, though. Shawn did everything in his power to help with everything we needed during our week stay.
