This place is very nice, but we stopped after a day of touring in casual sweatshirts and stretchy pants. The drinks were classics with a twist like a Prickly Pear Cactus Margherita and a Stone Fruit (Peach) Old Fashioned. They were delicious with a flare! We ordered the Chicken Pot Pie and the Pork Chops. Have a big appetite because you get 2 thick chops and and 8 inch pie plate of pot pie. The pork chop was piled high with apples, glazed pecans, and sprouts. We ate till we were stuffed and it didn’t look like we had started and we had no room for dessert (sad face). Brett was an excellent server, properly attentive and knowledgable about the menu.

Our first visit. We asked for sitting outside since we were just done with hiking. The host was very friendly and accommodating. The view from our table is phenomenal. We loved the chicken pot pie, but the rice for the poke tower was dry (they may want to try short grain rice). Service is good.

We recently visited The Hudson in Sedona, Arizona, drawn in by the amazing views and the policy clearly stating that no reservation is needed for patio seating. Unfortunately, our experience with their coordination and front-of-house management was extremely disappointing. When we arrived and requested patio seating, the front desk lady told us the wait would be 1 to 1.5 hours. Since we knew the patio was first-come, first-served, we agreed. But that estimate was nowhere close to accurate—we ended up waiting a full 2 hours. The frustrating part wasn’t even the long wait, but the sense that the staff weren’t communicating well or managing the patio flow properly. Even when it became clear that the quoted time had passed long ago, the manager didn’t show much concern or initiative to update us or address the situation. To their credit, they did offer a complimentary appetizer, which we appreciated. And once we were finally seated, the experience improved. The food was genuinely delicious, and our server Kyle was absolutely superb—friendly, attentive, and clearly one of the few bright spots in the entire experience. Still, the biggest issue was the lack of coordination and inconsistent information from the front desk. It completely overshadowed what could have been a great meal. With better organization and a more responsive management team, the restaurant could easily avoid situations like this. Great food and a great server can’t fully make up for a nearly two-hour delay and disorganized service. Hopefully The Hudson improves their communication and consistency, because the potential is definitely there.

The Hudson was recommended to us as a lunch stop by our friends back east as we headed from Scottsdale through Sedona on to the Grand Canyon. Not only was the view spectacular, but the food was delicious as well. Service was excellent. Absolutely would go back again!

We’ve eaten at The Hudson numerous times and always liked it. I’m not sure if their chef or owner changed, but it was all around terrible. The service was not good - we waited so long for anyone to wait on us, that we thought they had forgotten we were there. The food reminded me of hospital food - tasteless and mediocre. The wine list was also average. All around bad experience. We are never going back.

We had a group of 6 and have been here for a week. Everyone agreed this was the best atmosphere and meal. Amazing.

We really enjoyed the ambience of sitting outside on the deck. They had heaters when it started to cool down and the staff were very prompt about getting them turned on. It offers a great view but it is a little inconvenient to get a good picture without disturbing some of the other diners. Service was excellent and the food was tasty. We enjoyed two different bruschettas as a starter (the fungi and the shrimp- couldn't decide which we liked better). I enjoyed the butternut squash ravioli and my husband had the pot pie (an extremely flaky and flavorful crust too). Drinks were a bit pricier but given the menu not too out of line. We can definitely see why you need reservations and would recommend to anyone visiting Sedona that likes a bit more of an upscale place. We would definitely go back.

Hard to explain our experience. It was like the waiter was not engaged. Too many things to list, but watched the other waitresses and was envious of the service other people received. One waitress actually helped us by bringing my husband a fork, the busboy had to ask for the bill because he was always inside, and we had to flag him down for a drink. It's was my birthday and he wished my husband happy birthday three times; me never even after correction. Uncomfortable.

Menu was so tempting ordered 2 entrees. Chef does n o t disappoint. Views were astounding day & night! Staff is attentive and work as comrades. Standouts are the vast menu, great food and views! Hudson's views are much more memorable than California! They treat you right.

My wife and I dined here during our stay in Sedona, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The panoramic views are among the finest in the city—particularly at sunset, when the red rocks glow in the evening light. Each dish was beautifully prepared, flavorful, and generously portioned. The cocktails were perfectly balanced, and the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely accommodating. For those seeking a signature dining experience that captures the beauty and spirit of Sedona, this restaurant is an absolute must.

We had a wonderful meal in a beautiful setting with a view of the red rocks. Couldn't beat the experience. The staff was very attentive and helpful and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Sedona!

The scenery is beautiful- we had later reservations, and outdoor seating was full, but we still had gorgeous views from indoors. The food was outstanding with good portions! I had butternut squash ravioli, and my husband had pork chops. My sister-in-law ordered a chicken pot pie, and she received a FULL size pot pie for her dinner! We couldn't believe the chef made a full pot pie, for every order!! It tasted great as leftovers too :) I Highly recommend this restaurant!
