A great place with good food and friendly service. Tasty lunch items as well as wonderful shakes and ice cream. We had burgers and the dipped in chocolate cones. Well worth the short drive from the Interstate to historic route 66. Highly recommend..

Great place to get a milkshake while traveling along Route 66. Take the time to read about the original owner and the connection to Make A Wish foundation. Currently owned by the son and daughter of founder Juan.

A great burger. People are friendly and the service is good. Neat little outdoor area. Clean restrooms with ecclectic atmosphere.

Stopped by Delgadillo’s Snow Cap during our drive along historic U.S. Route 66 and it turned out to be a delightful and memorable detour.

👍 What stood out
• The exterior and setting immediately catch your eye: a quirky 1950s-drive-in look, vintage cars, playful signage and a strong sense of fun and nostalgia.
• The staff match the vibe: friendly, humorous and willing to play with little jokes (in a good way) making the visit more than just a meal.
• The menu is simple but satisfying: burgers, hot dogs, shakes and ice-cream. We tried a shake (highly recommend!) and the food held up well.
• It’s a perfect “road stop” – fun photo opportunities, atmosphere, character. A good addition to a road-trip itinerary.

👎 A few caveats
• It gets busy: since it’s iconic, expect some line for ordering. If you have limited time, be aware.
• The food is good, but not gourmet fine dining; if you’re expecting high-end cuisine, this isn’t it — it’s casual, fun, classic drive-in style.
• Bring cash (or check payment terms): some reviews mention small surcharges for card payments.

🎯 Summary

If you’re passing through Seligman and looking for a place that offers charm, personality and simple but enjoyable food — Delgadillo’s Snow Cap is absolutely worth the stop. For a relaxed, nostalgic break with more character than many chain restaurants, this is a winner.

Would definitely go back next time I’m in the area.

This burger and ice cream shop located on the side of historical route 66 is a destination stop. Walking up to the shop itself, you already know you are in for a treat - the bathrooms are out back and are outhouses (running water), there are door handles on both sides of the doors, there are signs everwhere that require review and consideration generally relating to the power of coffee and poor service. One orders at the front counter and the food is served on the side patio. There is a little back yard that has some extra seating and plenty of things to look at - old cars etc. Don't be surprised if the manager squirts his mustard bottle at you - its string but it will make you jump for sure, and, of course, he has a quip for whatever you might say - he's been there a long long time. The food here is from yesteryear - its good quality at reasonable prices. You are not just getting food here; you are getting a memory. Enjoy it.

Rt 66 is known for having little quirky things everywhere. Well, there would be no Rt 66 if there were no Delgadillos - they are literally responsible for obtaining the historical designation for Rt 66. This is Rt 66's heart; its still beating strong. Highly recommend!!!

Pros: Decent burger, shade, Route 66 atmosphere, outdoor seating for pets.
Cons: SELECTIVE ENFORCEMENT OF DOG RULES: We were asked to move to the dog area. There were 6 other dogs and a cat in the same seating area as we were, several of which were either in patrons laps or sitting/ laying on the benches at the tables. Our dog is a 35 lb Schnauzer mix and was laying quietly under our table.
The burger was decent because the meat was good but it was undercooked. The shake was mediocre. The onion rings were over cooked. When I asked where the bathrooms were the lady at the counter showed me a postcard and said it looks like this. The bathrooms were still very hard to find. They were small and awkward due to the outhouse design with gaps in the door. All she needed to say was they are to the right of the telephone booth. WONT BE BACK!!!

Stopped for a pineapple malt. It was amazing. The staff was great, they really like to cut it up (laugh) with their customers.

We stopped to share a shake and take in the vibes and decorations, and really enjoyed it. The staff behind the counter joked with everyone and made us feel welcome. We almost missed checking out the seating in the back yard which was just as entertaining as the front. Our shake appeared to be based on soft-serve ice cream. We enjoyed it.

This place was neat with its decor and atmosphere. There’s so much to take in. You’d need a bit of time to see it all. It made for a good family stop and offered a unique experience. It was a slow Thursday evening just before they closed up shop.

We ordered cheeseburgers, a grilled cheese, fries, a chili dog, and a chocolate shake. Unfortunately, the food didn’t match its charm.

Cheeseburgers: Juicy, but the buns were dry and barely warm. The whole burger was just warm at best.

Fries: Overcooked or overheld, warm, dry, and very crisp.

Chili Dog: Hot, but light on the chili.

Grilled Cheese: My daughter enjoyed it.

Chocolate Shake: Made with soft serve, chocolate syrup, and milk. Tasted watered down (or milked down, I suppose).

Overall, the service was good but it was an okay experience. The food could have been better, at the very least hot, considering how slow it was. The site itself is worth the visit. The food? I’m not so sure. Definitely not worth the price.
