I don't usually leave reviews, but this place needs a warning.

I'm traveling and decided to treat myself to a steak dinner. I went in around 7:30.
Service:
The service was good, I was seated quickly, and they did their best to accommodate me.
Atmosphere:
The dining room is outdated and old and smells like dust, playing classic country that made me want to fall asleep.
Appetizers:
The fried zucchini was pretty good, but based off appearance I don't think it's made from scratch, so no points there. The salad was fine as you'd expect. The bread was dry, chewy and flavorless, even with butter, it tasted like they made it days ago and put it in a warmer.
Meal:
I got a New York strip, medium well. It looked fine on the outside albeit unseasoned, but that's it. It was awful, chewy, flavorless, and maybe a bit off, truly one of the worst steaks I've ever had. It was also rare or undercooked because it was still purple on one half, like the grill didn't have even heat, my waitress offered to put it back on the grill but that wasn't going to help the flavor or texture so I just set most of it aside. $30 for that...
Dessert:
Dutch apple pie. Presentation was good, but flavor was just okay. The ice cream was as good as you'd expect, but the pie was bland.
Drinks: I got water at first and then decided to pair an Apothic red wine with my meal, apparently they were trying to get rid of their stock so I got a bottle for half price, silver lining.

Overall I spent $70 not including the tip for a mostly bland, over priced, and ultimately disappointing meal, I wouldn't recommend this place.

I was so looking forward to a really good salad and burger for dinner. I ordered a burger with cheese and bacon with green leaf lettuce wrap. It arrived with just 1 /2 leaf on the bottom and 1/2 leaf on the top. Not nearly enough to pick it up like a sandwich. I would have ordered a side salad but all they had was iceberg lettuce which I cannot digest. The burger was good. I also ordered the broccoli cheddar soup for my side and I didn't get it until I asked about it when my burger arrived. It was very thin and I never saw any broccoli in it. It wouldn't fill me up so I skipped the calories. I should have ordered the green beans - they looked green and al dente. My dinner didn't fill me up so I went back to the hotel and got more food to finish my meal.
My husband loved his gravy smothered chicken and fried mushrooms. My daughter really liked her chicken sandwich and French fries. My son in law really liked his steak and mashed potatoes with gravy but it was even too rare for him. At least they were all full.
If you are looking for good fried foods I think this is the place. It seemed everyone around us ordered onion rings, fried appetizers, and steaks.

One of the worst experiences at a steakhouse. We won't be back! Ribeye literally tasted like it was turning sour. Ended up vomiting and stomach issues after leaving the restaurant. Worst part is told server meat tasted like it was turning and didn't even get an im sorry. Just okay we'll take it off. Like this is a normal response.... if you don't want get food poisoning don't eat here

We just happened upon this place on our way through Show Low and were not disappointed. Service was fantastic, and the food was exceptional.

First time in. Our server was fantastic. The atmosphere in the dining area was great. Nice blend of western and modern. Bread starter is yummy. Salad was a good combo of flavors and the lettuce was chopped nicely. No giant pieces you can't get in your mouth. I had the country fried steak and my husband had the salmon. Both were perfectly done and seasoned. Portions on the salmon seemed a little small for the price but it tasted wonderful.
Lastly, the restaurant was very clean, even the bathroom. If the place has a gross bathroom, I assume the kitchen is just as neglected. So I was relieved to see a clean restroom.
We'll be back!
