The Taco Grande and Enchilada Zuisas are standout dishes, featuring high-quality chicken breast and flavorful tomatillo sauce. A large chips and salsa basket starts off the meal, with the salsa sometimes being bland but easily improved by asking for a spicy version. The restaurant has a cute interior with plenty of seating and a recently renovated, clean, and welcoming atmosphere. Customers enjoyed the excellent service, reasonable prices, and large portions, especially praising the steak and shrimp fajitas with added vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, and mushrooms. The restaurant also offers a Sunday buffet with a huge selection, including desserts like cheesecake and strawberries n cream, which many find very appealing. The owner is hands-on, even helping with sweeping the floor, adding a personal touch to the experience. While the restaurant currently lacks a liquor license, it plans to obtain one. Although music is not played, making the place very quiet, customers still appreciate the tasty food, including really good guacamole and mole, making El Azteca one of the best Mexican food restaurants on the mountain.
