Have been in the White Mtns. 25 years. We find ourselves going out less and less due mostly to the incredibly poor service, with few exceptions, at local restaurants. We know Rhonda the owner and doubt she would tolerate what occurred. We had to get our own drinks, appetizers came with the meal, $8 extra for 2 very small orders of rice and beans. We are done. Hour and a half for 2 burritos. Kai or Cai must be aware. Very disappointed. Again.

Licano's is a welcoming restaurant that offers a great overall experience. The Navajo taco is a must-try, and kids are welcome with a variety of options on the kids' menu. When open, the food is always tasty, with friendly and fast service, although sometimes the food can take a little longer when busy. Chips, salsa, and pico are served to start the meal, and delicious drinks from the bar make this a favorite night-out eatery. Prices are a little high, but the entrees are worth it. Take-home options like Green corn tamales are also available. The restaurant has a warm atmosphere, with different settings to suit any mood, and the staff share interesting stories about the building's history. It is a great place to enjoy delicious food and a wonderful experience.
