We found this jewel by accident at the tail end of a long, tiring trip. We live in a nearby town (45 miles), and when we got back we found a new Los Corrales had opened at home!!! Having lived in South Texas for 20 years and northern New Mexico for 15 years, this was like a trip back in time. EVERYTHING was perfect...the atmosphere was exotic and fun, the entire staff was first class with service. Our waiter Alfonso, was the best! But the menu...it defies description. Every dish is quality, and very reasonalbly priced. I just can't rave enough! We are going back for our 50th Anniversary this month.

THE BEST food service and prices! We went twice because it was so good. Everyone we had contact with were incredibly helpful and friendly. The food was truly the best Mexican food we have ever had...and we have tried many. The decor was outstanding! The chairs, tables and booths are all carved and brightly painted...just gorgeous.

Stopped by here late after checking in to a nearby hotel. The food was great and the margaritas were decent. It's definitely on the list for the next visit.

The molcajete bowl was great today, I would suggest checking ice machine or where water comes from because my water tasted like vanilla or sweet

We arrived at the restaurant in late afternoon and got seated promptly. We were a party of four . Service was slow even though there were few patrons in the restaurant. Once our orders were taken, it wasn’t a long wait. All the dishes that were ordered were packed with flavor, with nice sized portions. I loved the atmosphere, filled with color and Mexican artifacts. By the time we left, the restaurant had filled up. Very popular place

We visit Fool Hollow in Show Low every March. We have been doing this for the past 10 years and each time we eat here. In the beginning the food and service was exceptional. It seems they were never able to bring that quality back after Covid. The food is good but not like before. Portions have gotten smaller. They use to give a complimentary mango shot after the meal. Not now. Chips were cold and stale. The ground beef was never good (my fault for forgetting to substitute). Server didn’t return to check on us or offer refills. Side of rice was plentiful but cold. I think next year we need to find a new place when we visit.

It seems that the majority of Mexican restaurants get their decor and menus from the same supplier anymore. Conveniently located across the street from our motel & highly recommended by the desk clerk, we gave it a shot. The restaurant was clean and the service good except for a long wait to get our check after our meal. My wife & I both had a margarita which was weak being mostly mix. I had the chile colorado & my wife had beef fajitas. Both were free of much flavor and, in the case of my dish, free of much beef with a disproportionate amount of bland chile. The side of beans was laughably small. The fajitas were a much better value costing much less than the chile and having a larger portion but still disappointingly little beef and mostly vegetables. Very much typical of the same tepid & boring template that seems to have become the standard for Mexican cuisine and why we rarely eat at Mexican restaurants anymore.

Went to Los Corales in Show Low for dinner. Everything was good except the tamales. They need to find a new vender. We just couldn't eat after the first bite; it had smoked meat in it. Worst tamales ever.
