Bern here many times. Only once was it not great, 3 weekends ago. I waited by the hostess stand for maybe 5 minutes and want helped. I wrote my own name in the book then waited another 5 minutes and still no one said anything. I crossed my name out then left. Every other time was awesome.
The only problem I have experienced here is their continued use of heavily chipped plates. The food is good, service is good and prices are reasonable. Chipped ceramic plates cannot be easily sanitized as the porous surface is good ground for bacteria to hide in.
I love going there because I know whatever I get will be good waiter is always great! I had blueberry pancakes and the are fabulous! Not one or two berries but tones of delicious berries.
