AT 8 .00 PM THE MANAGER CLOSES ALL CASHIERS (SELF) CHECKOUT ONLY TILL CLOSE. I HAD $400.00 WORTH OF GROCERIES IN MY CART THEY TOLD ME TO GO TO SELF CHECKOUT!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE DONT SHOP AT THIS STORE!!!!

Items required today except for the bakery department. ALL shelves are slim. Prices up here on the white mountain and WAY more expensive than from the valley. So, end up not buying quite a bit because of costs.

I would have rated this much higher but all they had available was self checkout lanes. The self checkout lanes at Safeway are so picky it's ridiculous! It made us stop and get help four times!
Update: they seem to have more cashiers available now. I increase the rating from 2 to 4 stars.

We were looking forward to the Friday fried chicken. When we arrived, there was a beautiful pile of golden fried chicken, but amazingly, no one behind the counter (out of 3 people) would serve it. They said the “chicken person “ had to arrive to serve it. The ladies ahead of us had already waited 10 minutes. The employees behind the counter were slicing deli meat to prepackage but could not serve cooked chicken? We finally gave up and left. Common sense has left the building!
The problem I have with most grocery stores is, they stock way to many foods with Bioengineered Ingredients, Even in their fresh baked goods. if you didn't learn during CV19, You will never understand.

Stopped here for a Starbucks coffee. It was disgusting. They apparently use some kind of instant coffee concentrate. There is a regular Starbucks coffee shop 2 miles down on the right.
