Wife and I stayed at the motel next door last nite. Ordered a sample plate to take back to the room to eat,it was very reasonably priced with good amount. Ate breakfast there this morning,it too was very good a reasonably price with good service. Highly recommend this place!!
Nice restaurant with a variety of different dishes. They also have a small bar with a big tv. Service here was good and the food was also good. It was not till after we left the restaurant we learned that John Wayne was a regular at this restaurant. He ordered breakfast in the booth next to where we sat.. and we didn’t even know it. Either way good food and this restaurant has an even greater history.
It can sometimes be hard to find a decent restaurant in a small town. Safire is good enough to be in a big city. The menu consists of a wide variety of Mexican and American dishes, including a few cross-overs. Quality of the food is high. I had the strip steak with a loaded baked potato and salad. The salad bar is fresh and has a nice variety; they could maybe add olives, radishes, and bell peppers, but it had all the basics. The steak was excellent, done perfectly the way...
