I'm a longtime Mamajoes customer. The food has always been a good value, the atmosphere nothing special. The last time we were here, there was a table of very loud over served off-roaders that used offer color language unacceptable for a public place. The waitress or staff did nothing to quiet them down and actually laughed along with them. Recently, we decided to call and order a pizza from them. They asked us to wait while a customer paid and set the phone down. No problem. While still on the phone, a half hour later, we decided to drive down to order our pizza. We arrived and explained the situation. They hung up the phone and started taking pizza orders from all of those that were not able to get thru with the phone off hook. With no tables available and now a 45 minute wait, we took out business to Pine.

Eggplant Parm was delicious. The meatball was very tasty, the sausage was nice and spicy. One of the best dinner salads included a Buffalo mozzarella, nice touch. I'm looking forward to next

Best pizza out there!! And if you haven't tried their shrimp, you absolutely need to whether it's fried or sautéed or cocktail. They are the best, monster shrimp. Their Italian food is also very delicious, but we totally go there for the white pizza which is phenomenal and the shrimp!
Please heed the reviews that state it is a long wait. It definitely is a long wait for food. The lady that assisted me was friendly and communicative. However, there was another server and, although, she didn't directly serve me, she was not friendly at all. I said hello and she just looked at me up and down and didn't engage. Might have been race driven but couldn't say for sure. Lack of atmosphere, if it weren't for no other options in the area, I would have left immediately. Food was mediocre for the wait.

This would have been our 3-4 visit to Mama Joes but we didn’t make it past the “lounge” as the server called it. We arrived around 520pm. There were 2 tables in the restaurant. A table of 2 and a larger table maybe 6-8. After 10-15 mins and hearing someone cough frequently from the back, we stick our head around the corner to let whomever know we were waiting… after a few more minutes she came out and told us to wait in the lounge as they were short staffed. We stood in the lounge area for another 15-20 and decided to leave. It was not necessary to make us stand there. They could have seated us gave us water/drinks and we would have been happy waiting but no… they kept saying a few more minutes. Another family came in and left… because no one came out from the back to acknowledge them. It’s a shame, because the food has been good in the past but the service has much to be desired!

This is the second time we visited the restaurant in a week. The first time, it was raining and we came in to order take out. The two ladies that greeted us, informed us, right off the bat, they were short staffed. In a VERY discouraging way almost as to say, you probably should not stay or order. We said it was fine and ordered our pizza. They said it would take an hour, you want to come back? we said no since it was raining. We watched people come in and wait to be seated with open tables. We finally got our pizza and it was delicious. We thought we would try again and dine in this time with our friends. We walked in and waited as no one was in the front, after being there for some time, I said hello, couple minutes later one of the ladies came out, I said we would like a table for four, there was one other party in the restaurant and the rest of the tables were clear, they said the same thing, we’re understaffed so please wait to be seated. We saw the tables were set, we waited there for 20 minutes and nothing. Once more almost discouraging us to stay. After waiting this time, with no one else in the restaurant except that party that was already seated, we just decided to leave. I told the girl, seems you’re too busy, she didn’t look surprised she just said OK and we walked out. I’m sure they had a lot of to go orders, l’m sure they were understaffed, but it was clear that they prefer not to serve us and that they didn’t want to hustle to serve us.We went to two other restaurants and the wait was an hour and they were packed, the service was great and they did everything to seat us as soon as possible.You’re losing business because your staff is not welcoming, they almost seem irritated to serve you, they are clearly annoyed that you even came in.Fix that, you have a great product but remember service is part of your product, it was horrible, not once but twice in a week’s time.
Rolled into town hungry on a Friday night ordered a couple pizzas and an appetizer to go. Would have liked to have stayed and enjoyed a meal there. I guess we'll do that next visit.

Located in Strawberry,AZ, this is one of the few restaurants that is available in this small town. We tried it, since it was just half a mile from our cabin. You can tell that the patrons know each other, since it is a very small town. Our server is really nice and accommodating. Making sure we are well taken cared of. We loved every single food we ordered and they give you big portion. Good food, good atmosphere and good service!
