The veal was poor. The appetizer (muscles) was awesome! Salad was great. Ambience was very nice.

Had the BEST experience at the Strawberry Lodge. Warm bread waiting for us when we got to our table, absolutely delicious food, a dark/sexy ambience that you would see in a much larger city, amazing wait staff and service - the owner Ricky came around to every table to say hi and ask how the food was. We will be back at least once a week to this restaurant.

Best dining experience in Northern Arizona. The food was exceptional, the service was great. My wife and I had a date night here and definitely be back. We ate every bit of food. It was all so good. Thanks for the recommendation Franco.

My husband surprised me with a dinner here for our 13th anniversary and it was amazing. Best Italian food I've ever had. Atmosphere was romantic and service was great. Strawberry Lemonade was the best we've ever had. Definitely a good spot for a special occasion.

My wife and I stopped in after hiking in Pine after she saw a bunch of positive reviews. Unfortunately, our experience was not that at all. I will say that the food was good. However, my wife admitted to me most of the patrons were 55+ and constantly staring at us like we didn’t belong there (we are late 30’s). At first, I dismissed it, but after our experience, I believe she was correct. We ordered a Caymus variety bottle of wine to split. When the wine was brought over by the waitress, she opened it and poured us two glasses, not presenting the bottle & no initial taste as is normal protocol for any Italian restaurant. She even commented “The bartender gave me a bottle opener, but I guess this bottle is screw top. That’s odd.” Ok, no problem. But after drinking my glass, I found it to be watery and not what I expected out of a Caymus. I then studied the bottle and realized it was a different bottle of wine from what we ordered. We told the waitress and she apologized that we had indeed received the incorrect bottle. She removed our glasses from the table (but not the bottle) and went to talk to the bartender and brought the correct Caymus wine. She came back and said “yes, you asked for the Caymus, but we figured you wanted something else”. Ok, that’s rude. I guess since we were under 50, they figured we couldn’t afford a Caymus? The rest of the night was a dance where the waitress held over our heads that we may have to pay for the $75 incorrect wine. She asked us several times if we wanted to take the wine home but it was implied if we did, we would be charged full price for this “other” bottle of wine on our bill. She said “maybe we can offer a discount. I’ll see what we can do.” Keep in mind we never ordered this first wine. At dessert, she said “we have decided to comp each of your $12 deserts”…ummm, $24 off but we need to pay for the incorrect $75 bottle we didn’t order?? That’s not right. In the end, the bottle was comped without issue (fyi we paid for our desserts), but after politely telling our wine experience to someone, it came to my attention that management was under the impression we ordered a wine, didn’t like it, and then requested a different wine and refused to pay for the first. I wonder who told told them that; maybe the waitress who messed up to cover herself…and yet we still tipped her 20%. This will be the one and only time we ever come here.

I am only reviewing the restaurant, since we did not stay in the Lodge.
Even on a Sunday evening, this place was full. We had reservations for 5:30, and were seated promptly. Our server, Alexis (?), was top notch - and I mean the kind of service and personality you normally only get in high end restaurants in Phoenix.
We started with the Bruschetta and Caprese for appetizers. Both were excellent. Our party ordered the Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo, Portabella Ravioli, Vitello Piccata, and the evening special, which I hadn't heard of, but my wife said was quite good. In fact, everyone raved about how good their meal was. One thing I have to mention specifically is their pasta. For me, pasta is just a filler - but the pasta they served my chicken alfredo on was, by far, the best pasta I have ever tried. So much so that I had to share with everyone at the table. It really was that good. We ended the meal with a scoop of Spimoni.
No one had any alcohol with the meal, but I did note they offered several bottles at very reasonable prices.
All told, with 5 meals that included appetizers and desert, our total before tip was around $250, or $50 average per person. In today's world, I'd call that a bargain.
Great place, great staff, great food.
Absolutely give this place a try.

We only ate at the restaurant. Food and service were a delight! We will surely stop there again when in Strawberry.

There is no more hotel or lodge. The restaurant is called Strawberry Lodge and is open Thursday through Sunday from 4 to 8. Reservations are made online and strongly suggested. The menu is Italian choices. Parking is in a dirt lot that surrounds thevl lodge building.
