Lovely dining room and excellent food! Best kept secret on the Rim!
Family members celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary there just after Christmas this year. Myself and another family member attempted for 55 minutes to arrange and pay for the couple to get two nice glasses of wine delivered to their table. It was an extra special anniversary for this couple as one of them had just gone through a pretty serious brain surgery and is indeed a walking miracle. The host who answered the phone during our failed attempts kept telling us the server was too busy to help us. Too bad, as there would have been a good tip for delivering the two glasses of wine. I don't believe we will ever patronize this establishment. Nuff said!
I took a colleague out to dinner to thank her for a referral, and the Strawberry Lodge was the obvious choice. She already loved it, and I’ve always enjoyed it too, so it was the perfect spot. The food is consistently delicious, and the portions are so generous I’ve never finished a meal.
I remember coming here when I was younger, and even though the restaurant has evolved over the years, it still has that same warm, welcoming, community feel. You’re greeted right when you walk in, the wait staff is always attentive, and it’s a nice touch when the chef stops by to see how everything is.
It’s more than just a meal, it’s an experience. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get a feeling for our Great Mountain Community. If you like great food paired with cozy mountain-town charm this is a the place to go.
This restaurant was everything we were hoping for. Great ambiance, attentive staff (Kylie was incredible!), excellent food. The menu is focused, but with enough variety to please a group. Nightly specials were great. Best Bolognese we've had in Arizona. We could use a place like this in Flagstaff. Guess we'll have to make the drive again.
I drove to this place from PHX because I was craving authentic Italian food and it did not disappoint the atmosphere was very welcoming. the staff and the head chef were so kind too me on my first visit the pasta tasted homemade and the veggie soup was very good and the dessert was delish! Drinks were top notch. Also the abundance felt like five stars and playing classical Italian music. I will definitely come back here on my next visit. S/O to Simone, Davie, Alexia, and the head chef for the hospitality and experience!
All around excellence.
What a beautiful little gem in this small town. We got there when they opened at 4 and good thing we did! Definitely need a reservation for this place. Started with the muscles appetizer. Then Had the veal and my husband had a special-the swordfish. The food was incredible. The chef is delicate and deliberate with his flavors, combinations and plating. I can’t think of a better hearty/healthful meal I’ve ever had!
The Strawberry Lodge delivers an experience that feels both elevated and personal. The ambiance is refined yet welcoming. As for the food, every course is a masterclass in Italian cuisine. It’s not just dinner, it’s a journey through Italy, one unforgettable bite at a time. ⭐
I have never stayed here, but I have dined in here frequently for celebrations and I have yet to have a bad experience. The pricing is a little high but you get a very quality product at the end and will leave my broke because the food is so good!
They no longer do to go orders. I came up to Pine with my family to visit my mom, who isn't ambulatory and is not able to leave the house. I was advised on the phone that Ricky is no longer allowing to go orders. So instead of six entrees and three appetizers to feed my family at my mom's house, I went down the street to the Pinewood Tavern and they happily made all the orders to go.
Can't imagine that business is so plentiful that a restaurant cannot do a to go order. This is the place that served one of my dad's last meals before he passed. I'll never visit this restaurant again for as long as my family has a house in Pine.

The veal was poor. The appetizer (muscles) was awesome! Salad was great. Ambience was very nice.
Had the BEST experience at the Strawberry Lodge. Warm bread waiting for us when we got to our table, absolutely delicious food, a dark/sexy ambience that you would see in a much larger city, amazing wait staff and service - the owner Ricky came around to every table to say hi and ask how the food was. We will be back at least once a week to this restaurant.
Stellar experience! Great ambiance and delicious food and drinks.
Best Italian food around. Atmosphere was awesome too
Best dining experience in Northern Arizona. The food was exceptional, the service was great. My wife and I had a date night here and definitely be back. We ate every bit of food. It was all so good. Thanks for the recommendation Franco.
