I used to own home cooking Restaurants. That's what I thought this was. I've been passing ot every day for 3 months as I'm preparing to move. I owned Route 56 Cafe and Back Home Diner. I eat frequently in AJ at Mickey D's. No not McDonald's!! A great country cooking place. Mine and my wife's breakfast had hardly nothing homemade. The gravy was bag just add sausage. The corned beef hash is made with frozen hash browns and very soggy. Even the biscuits aren't homemade. The country potatoes are frozen potatoes just add some peppers & onions. I ordered over easy eggs. Cooked Medium well at best. 1st and last time there. Needs to be turned into a great country homemade place.

The food was average but they charged me $5.99 for a cup of coffee. Rip off.
Our first time, will come back and recommend to family and friends! I had smothered chicken fried chicken it was seasoned very well with their melt in your mouth biscuits. My husband had the meat lovers omelette smothered with gray. We both enjoyed our meal.

The pancake was fantastic. A perfect griddle pancake, light and filling. Friendly and attentive service. Delicious california benedict and decent NM breakfast burrito. Outdoor seating was nice to have, but seating is not very comfortable and you are basically in an extension of the parking lot.

Came back to try it under the new management. Jade the Smothered Poblano omelet and the Caritas Supreme. The Supreme won. Great flavor. 👍

I ordered the Seafood Platter and it was the worst seafood platter that I've ever had! The catfish was so thin and hardly no catfish and the batter was horrible. The cod's batter was ok, but the cod had black meat inside and didn't eat it either. The fried shrimp were raw, how in the world do you fry shrimp and the shrimp is raw when it only takes a minute for shrimp to fully cook?? The calamari was also raw. The only good thing on the seafood platter was the fried okra and the coleslaw was just OK. She had the prime rib and she loved it. Just don't order the seafood platter, you will be highly disappointed! I'm from Louisiana and I know what a good seafood platter is, next time I'll try Baby K's Cajun Restaurant.

OMG, how did we not know about this restaurant??? We’ve driven by here so many times but didn’t stop until this morning. The chicken fried steak was awesome, probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The service was Top Notch! We will definitely be coming back.

update: the owner responds to my review by saying we should ask the server for what we need instead of walking into the kitchen…. who are we supposed to ask when all the servers are hiding out in the kitchen? we were eating for 10 minutes and saw nobody. thats not standard customer service.
Food was meh and was equivalent to food i couldve made at home. The service was terrible. Our waiter didnt come check on us during our meal and didnt come refill our waters until after my dad walked to the kitchen and asked for extra syrup.

Beats me how anyone could give this place a decent rating. Horrendous service, food was worse than Denny's but cost more than most breakfast places. Boomers love this place because it's close to where they live.

First time here and it was awesome. I got the omelet with spicy poblano. It tasted amazing. I didn't need to add anything to it. The service was great. There was only one waitress, but she was ON IT! She didn't stop smiling, she kept checking on us and it was busy so she was everywhere. Definitely coming back
