Idk if I’m addicted to the coffee or the service but the girls have been on a roll lately. I believe it was several months ago I actually complained to corporate (inconsistency and time were the issue) because I take my morning coffee seriously lol An extra large hot IV with caramel drizzle which comes out to $10.46….. a day. So when they miss it kinda throws off my day. The day after my complaint I talked to one of the girls about it and took the review down.Cassie has been absolutely AMAZING she takes connecting with the customer to a whole different level and it feels natural. Her attitude about my review was cool, she just wanted to make things right and you can tell that she loves what she does. That’s rare nowadays! There is another couple of girls there that are right up there with her. Coffee and service on point, once they know how you want it, they deliver.

OK, they couldn’t hand-blend my drinks which they usually do.. though barista at 4:40, Saturday December 27 female voice in drive thru had a tone with me..awful customer service didn’t even ask for my rewards number. Besides that the drink was good.

No lie just watched a girl rip the lining off a jug of milk with her teeth and watched her lip touch the rim of the jug and then SERVE milk for coffee out of the jug. Will not be back to this location. Staff are never very fast anyway.

I like the drinks at Black Rock Coffee; however, I use it as a place to study for university, and the atmosphere is too loud for that. The music is played at a volume where you can feel the vibrations and hear it through noise canceling headphones. Some of the music is also not kid-friendly.

Also, their rewards app system did not work for me when I was there. And even though I had signed up for an account, and had a free drink, the staff were unable to give me my free drink because the system kept glitching. I would have preferred they honored my free drink instead of making it a 5-10 minute ordeal to try and figure out the app. I did not have additional time to troubleshoot the free drink thing, so I just offered to pay instead. However, because the free drink was a medium drink, I had to pay for a medium drink instead of my normal size of a small drink, with the medium drink being about $1.50-$2.00 more than the small. As a student with an already tight budget, that was disappointing.

Update: I am changing my review. I am so impressed at the work and the changes this location has made. It’s clear they take their reviews seriously. 🩷

Super bummed at this location. The coffee is good…when it’s finally made correctly. We go every morning because it’s close to the house, but dread getting our order taken because they never get it correct. The person making drinks is always the one taking orders, and always misses key items (size, flavor, milk type etc) when reading the order back. One of our drinks is consistently missing flavor and the other one is usually missing the cream and/or flavor. Really upset this morning as not only they forgot the cream in my Americano (had to pass it back at the window to get it added) but when I got home realized they also didn’t put the flavor in it, and it was extremely watered down. I just threw it away.

Staff was frantic and unhelpful, ordered and paid for a breakfast sandwich with no cheese under the impression that it would come with no cheese, only to find out after paying that they can't make modifications because their food is frozen, not to mention overpriced. Go get an egg McMuffin instead, at least there you get what you pay for.

11/7 I went through the drive-thru with my mother, and she offered to pay. I ordered a burrito, and she ordered a drip coffee. Their system was down at the time, which honestly didn’t bother me — things happen. My burrito was left behind unfortunately but I made time to come in the next day. ( mind you they do not have a phone service to report missing items or incorrect orders) so I came in person instead which was my first time.

The problem came the next day (11/8) when I returned to see if I am able to get the burrito. The manager asked for the last four digits of my mother’s card, which I didn’t have memorized. I had to call my mom while waiting, and as the line started getting longer, the manager became visibly impatient and started preparing to take other orders. I had already been waiting before ( 5 min to be seen) so I thankfully told her immediately to order a drink while sorting things out.

Once I finally got the card number( which was probably 2 mins) the situation turned sour. Instead of simply resolving the issue, ( offering to fix it by replacing it) the manager refunded my mother’s card and charged my card again for the same order — something I definitely didn’t expect.

As someone who works with customers daily, I can say the way this situation was handled showed poor problem-solving and lack of patience. I won’t be returning to this location.
