This last Sunday night I waited over an hour after I ordered my food to be told that it's going to take longer for me to get my food while I sat in the restaurant. I asked for a refund and they said they could not refund my money because the store manager had to do it and she was not in. And then they cancel my order. 3 days later I have left several messages for the store manager to be completely ignored and now they don't pick up the phone when I call. The store manager is by far the most unprofessional store manager I've ever dealt with in any restaurant. I've called the corporate office and still cannot get a refund. So the store manager enjoys stealing money from customers and refusing to answer when they call for help. Dickey's Barbecue needs to rethink who runs the store for them
I am now updating my complaint being Friday February 7th and I still have not heard back from the manager and when I call they ask my name and then they hang up repeatedly. They've blocked my phone number so that I cannot get my refund that I was promised. You cannot leave a voicemail because it is not set up. What kind of manager runs a restaurant that will not speak with a customer that is trying to get a refund for food he never received? This manager needs to be replaced immediately

The food wasn't good and for the price, I would have expected it to be great. The chicken breast was overly dry, and my full rack of ribs was tough to chew. I was thinking the meat had to be sitting around for a while to be this dry.
I have a catered lunch for 20 people this Saturday... already purchased. My experience with today's dinner is making me think that I should cancel Saturdays order!

Ordered thru grubhub. Grub delivered on time and did whatever but what BBQ place doesn't give BBQ sauce?!?!?!?! And rubber brisket? 0 out of 5

Put in a mobile order and it was ready as expected. Food was flavorful and we got plenty of sauces. The gals behind the counter were kind, attentive, and friendly. We'll definitely be back - especially with the kids eat free promo.

I came at opening time and was served luke warm food with the brisket tasting horrible and the fries tasting like it was reheated in the microwave. The coleslaw and soda were ok but this place is garbage.

I also was a member of the deer Valley men's club meeting where Dickies was 2 and 1/2 hours late with food that was understated to say the least. I also read their responses to our president and I was sorely disappointed that they took absolutely no responsibility for their mistake. do not support this place as it is terrible and they need to go away

This review is for Dickey's BBQ Catering Service. In short, use a different company if you want catering service. They showed up over 2.5 hours late with an incomplete order to a large party our group was having. We later found out that after the president of our group asked for some compensation for the poor service we received, he was told none would be given. This was from both the local and corporate office. We will be passing this along to the many groups within our community. We hope your Holiday gatherings are going better. Have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

I am a member of the club and attended the Holiday gathering, I did not place the order. I contacted the president of our club with your response and requested his input. Hope this helps clear things up.

This is his response:
When I first contacted Dickies to get a price per plate, I talked with the store Manager Sandra, and told her there would be as many as 175 people and I would verify the number when I had a final tally on the Wednesday before our meeting. I also said I wanted the same meals we had the previous year with brisket, chicken, 3 sides, (I did not specify what 3 sides we had)
lemonade and sweet tea. She scribbled it down on in a spiral ring notebook with all kinds of scribbles on the page. The Friday before the meeting, I dropped off the check at the Surprise Dickies. Sandra was not there, but I left the check with another women and she assured me an invoice would be emailed with the money received, which it did, showing the December date as the delivery date and there was never any change of date. It also showed 168 people on the invoice. The attached invoice dated Friday 12/6 verified everything. It also shows a delivery and service fee was included on the invoice.

We only had 168 people registered, 4 people did not show up and several had to leave before the food arrived. The discrepancy in the food quantity was the brisket was supposed to be shredded not sliced as per last year, consequently, the distribution of the brisket didn't go as far as shredded brisket would. We did have chicken left over. There was no lemonade and sweet tea provided as there was last year.

Because they had the wrong date (not our fault), they were 2 1/2 hours late with the delivery having to provide the order from 2 Dickies stores. When I finally got in touch with Rose she said she was on an airplane. Not sure why that would matter if she was able to respond to my phone call given the fact that we had a $3293 order.

No compensation at all for their lack of responsibility to deliver per their contract is no excuse.

We had a brisket sandwich and pulled pork sandwich. Both were almost all fat on both. The only thing we could eat was the bun. $40.00 later. It was such a disappointment. I called and store manager could care less

this place in general is horrible terrible prices. Basically Paid $16 for a brisket mchicken and $25 for a piece of dry flavorless, horrible odorless beef and chicken. Terrible never come again .

Hello, we came into this place for a nice bbq experience and when we arrived they had a child working behind the counter taking our order… and then we waiting 20 plus minutes for our food. During our wait there was multiple customers who went up to the front desk to complain about there food as well.. Once it arrived it wasn’t any better… the meat was so dry and this plate wasn’t made with love at all. I’m extremely disappointed and probably won’t ever return
