I'm not going to use the word "amazing" like so many restaurant reviewers do, but our Easter lunch here was pretty good. The one who took it to another level though, was our server, Kyndra. What a sweetheart! The place was very busy and she seemed to be keeping up with all her tables just fine, and was very attentive and kind to us. Firebirds definitely has value in employees like her. The atmosphere inside is loud and a bit congested, with a good number of tables uncomfortably close to one another. We felt like we were sitting with other people in a place that isn't that big to begin with. Not to be helped, but it was on the cold side that day so there was plenty of drafts as both doors were constantly opening. As for the food, the Roasted Garlic Sirloin and Durango Burger were both grilled perfectly and had great flavor. The loaded potato was too loaded (believe it of not) with enough cheese for two potatoes. So much cheese is was barely melted. The Chicken Tortilla soup was very rich and flavorful. And in the end, Kyndra was so kind as to serve my birthday girl two small servings of their Creme Brulee Cheesecake that was pretty close to "amazing" as it beats anything Cheesecake Factory serves. May just stop in for dessert sometime. And lastly, just a shout out to Kyndra for completing our Easter Sunday lunch with a touch of class and style! Thanks so much!

We've been to the new Firebirds a few times for dinner since they opened. It has been excellent every time. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for brunch. We had 10am reservations for 4 on Easter Sunday. There were approximately 15 people waiting in line with us. They opened promptly at 10. Seating was fast and organized. we were sat maybe 2 minutes after the table next to us. They had a server taking their drink orders. She checked back on the table twice. We were waiting for over 10 minutes before she acknowledged us. We didn't even know she was our server. We were never greeted or anything. Drinks took over 20 minutes. She apologized and said the bartenders were slammed. I'm sorry, I don't agree. I could see the bartenders, they weren't busy during his time. The place was more than half empty. Our server seemed to be confused regarding the menu. The hostess gave us the standard menus with the brunch printed on it. Our server gave us 1 tiny laminated menu for the 4 of us and told us that was what they were serving for Easter. I asked her if dinner was available & she wasn't sure however I had heard another server describing service for the day. I can go on about the food & presentation but I won't. Firebirds has been 5 star for dinner at night. Sorry that their Brunch Game is lacking. we will still return for dinner.

Our waitress greeted us with a friendly smile and said she would take good care of us and she did. She got our drink orders quickly and took our lunch orders. Food came up rather quickly and she checked in with us often. The place was bustling midday. And had a cool looking bar. For lunch we all had the chicken tortilla soup. It was quite thick. One in our party had A LOT of chicken in her soup, while another had hardly any. The soup was not very hot when served, which meant we needed to eat quickly before it cooled too much more. I also had the field salad with the chef recommended cilantro lime dressing. My friend had the BLT salad. The salads were good but we would get the dressing on the side next time. They were very smothered and drenched. The portion sizes were very generous.

We went there on Easter Sunday. We were seated outside. The heating was so bad, we could not eat our food. The service was not at all good. The steaks were cold and the outside did not help.

This place is very stylish and the food I great. I had the prime rib ... fabulous! The drinks were not great but service was very good. Very pricey for dinner but it seems these are the times we are in unfortunately. It's nice to see a more upscale place in Surprise so we don't have to drive 45 min to eat well...

Great service. Todd was welcoming, checked with us regularly, somewhat noisy, food was good. Baked potato could have been more loaded. Fully loaded did not meet expectations.

We went to the Firebirds and surprise which is relatively new and were very disappointed with the food and the service. Three steaks came out completely rare, although they were ordered medium. The Chilean Seabass came out about 20 minutes after all of the other food came out, and it was undercooked, as well. Our drinks stayed empty almost the entire time and overall, this was just a waste of money. In general, I like Firebirds, but I would not recommend this particular location.

Excellent service and food. A little loud when crowded. Definitely make reservations in advance or you will have a long wait as it's very popular.

Tried the Surprise location for lunch, was optimistic that it would become another local favorite. Our server was Karissa, and she was excellent! Unfortunately, the good vibe was demolished almost immediately as we were escorted by one of the hosts to the center dining area with tables where it was very busy. We asked immediately to be seated at a booth as this always is our preferred seating arrangement. The person who was seating us said that it would not be possible to seat us at a booth as they were by reservation only. There must have been at least six booths that never were occupied the entire time we were there. We almost turned around and left when we were told that we could not be seated at a booth, but tried to make the best of it as it was our first time to try this location. The food was not nearly as good as the Peoria location. The chili was off in that Ron's bowl was tasty, my bowl was too chunky and almost as though the meat had cooked together and hardened in the microwave. When I offered my portion to Ron he said it was very different in consistency and taste and he was not interested in any more of it. When we left the restaurant, three employees standing at the host's station were busy chatting with one another, no one gave a "thank you" or expressed any appreciation for our patronage. I highly doubt we will ever go here again. The ambience was immediately ruined by the rules and regulations of not having the option to sit where you are comfortable. The only 5 star we would offer would be for our excellent server, Karissa! She was great!

Disappointed...I'll stick with Coopers Hawk across the street.

Our first visit to a Firebird restaurant. Enjoyed a weekday lunch to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Excellent service. Good lunch menu options reasonably priced. Busy but didn't seem noisy. Surprised with a delicious dessert treat that we shared- crème brûlée cheesecake- best ever cheesecake! Definitely recommend.

Our server Katie was great! Very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious but felt like may have been sitting in the window for a little while before being brought to the table. Will definitely be back again!

The food was fabulous and server Taylor was wonderful to deal with. The bar got my special request done perfectly (potato vodka, 3 blue cheese stuffed olives, dirty, in a tumbler rather than martini glass).

I had the Chilean Sea Bass with shrimp, sauce on the side. It was very good. Cooked perfectly. Shrimp are not jumbo but were fine. Fish was excellent. My husband had the Baby Back Ribs and was very happy. The noise level is pretty loud inside. Service was excellent.

My steak was ordered medium and came out well done. Side was described incorrectly by served and contained ingredients I cannot eat. Steak and side were sent back. It took quite awhile ( my spouse was finished eating) for my entree to return, but second steak was cooked better, but still not medium. The fresh side was very good. Service overall was good, but somewhat slow. They did do a decent job of correcting the errors on the first entree.
