I'm only leaving a review because I hope the owner reads this honest opinion/suggestion. We went maybe a month or 2 after opening, and we haven't been back. Service was great, place was nice, but the main focus should be the product in which this place is a coffee shop. The coffee we got was VERY watered down. To the point where we were debating if they accidentally gave us cold brew. I believe this has to do with either the grind, maybe the grinder they use, or it's the water temp. Either way, we typically go out and grab coffee multiple times a week, and woulda loved to have a local coffee shop down the street just nail it, but at similar price points compared to competitors that simply deliver a better product, it's just not a place on our list. Might go back, but there is hesitation, ngl.

I had a caramel latte that was delicious, a turkey bacon chicken wrap that was really good, and the service was great. I loved the decor and the fact that this place has a drive thru! Will definitely come again.

Fantastic service. The kid was super friendly and kind. Helpful. Yes sir,yes ma’am manners. The coffee was excellent. I got the honey nut Cheerio and hubby got the halo. Strong. I also got the biscuits and gravy- they are homemade- what a welcomed treat. The vibe was relaxed. Great music. Place was spotless. The price point is very good as well.

I love the coffee, the bagels are absolutely delicious and have the best chew: tear-ability ratio which is important when encountering bagels. HOWEVER my personal highlight was placing an online order and asking for a pup cup (for my cat) and they obliged. I’m so thankful. So is Freyja. Thank you guys!

GroundShaker Coffee Shop is one of my favorite local spots — the aesthetic and vibe are absolutely on point. It’s the kind of place that feels thoughtfully curated, cozy, and inviting whether you’re stopping in or using the drive-thru (which is a huge bonus for convenience!).
One of the things I really appreciate is their use of local honey — not only is it a nice touch for drinks, but it’s also great for allergies. I believe the owner actually harvests the honey themselves, which adds a personal and sustainable touch I love supporting.
The breakfast sandwiches are fantastic — fresh, satisfying, and a perfect start to the morning. Whether I'm craving a hot coffee or something iced, the quality is consistently good across the board.
If I had to note one downside, it's that the staff experience can vary. Most visits, we’ve had great service from kind, knowledgeable baristas. Other times, the staff felt a bit inexperienced or less engaged — likely just younger team members still learning the ropes. It’s not a dealbreaker by any means, but something worth mentioning.
Overall, GroundShaker is a gem. Between the thoughtful ingredients, great coffee and food, and welcoming atmosphere, it's a place I keep coming back to — and definitely recommend.

I go to Ground Skaker quit often. My coffee is mostly always good, exactly what I ordered. Place looks cool and is a great place to sit and chill. But honestly, how can you not wanna hang at a place with a SICK guitar hanging on the wall. Love it there.

First visit and we’re hooked!
My family and I stopped by GroundShaker Coffee Bar for the first time on a Sunday afternoon, and we were seriously impressed. This location has been home to a couple of coffee shops over the years, but this is by far the best version we've experienced.
It wasn’t too busy, and the vibe was relaxed and welcoming. The staff greeted us right away, and when I mentioned it was our first time, they gave us space to check out the menu while staying close enough to answer questions. That was a really thoughtful touch.
We tried a few different drinks:
I had the cold brew, straight up. It was bold, full-bodied, and just awesome.
My wife ordered the Blueberry Cobbler latte special. It actually smelled and tasted like blueberry and wasn’t overly sweet, which is rare for these types of drinks.
Our daughter went with The Ex-Girlfriend, and she said it was fabulous. The caramel, hazelnut, and toasted marshmallow flavors really came through.
They have a fun list of latte specials (I’ve posted a picture), and I honestly don’t think you can go wrong with anything on it.
I can't speak for the food, but based on what other customers received while we were there, I would rate it at a five. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked fresh, well-portioned, and delicious.
The atmosphere is great with music playing, indoor and outdoor seating, and even a drive-thru. The pricing is very reasonable too, which we appreciated.
This is a refreshing change from the corporate coffee spots around Surprise. We’ll definitely be back and hope they continue to thrive in this location.

In town for 2 weeks, open 5:30am on the weekdays and was the best hot latte I had in surprise. I exclusively went here after the first week.
(Edit: was curious what other people were saying, if you feel it doesn’t taste strong enough there small latte is one shot of espresso I added a second shot and it tastes perfect for me)
Told the barista in the drive-through that it was my first time and she was super sweet and gave me a punchcard with an extra stamp!
Drink: I ordered a white chocolate caramel mocha, and they made me a black and white mocha (both mocha and white mocha) with caramel which was fine with me. Coffees not too bad!
Food: Biscuit and gravy as well as a croissant which were both good!
I paid about $15 ($3 tip included) which is such a good price for all I got!

The customer service here is genuinely great, and I’ve never had an issue. Everyone is friendly and welcoming, and I appreciate how kind the staff is. Unfortunately, the drinks just aren’t good, and neither is the food. I’ve tried giving it a few chances, but every drink I’ve ordered has been disappointing, and I end up not finishing them. I love supporting local businesses, but you’re better off going to Spencer’s Place or Boyer Bakery.

Been here a few times now and have loved the coffee each time! Not sure why there’s so many bad reviews but that hasn’t been my experience. I usually go through the drive-thru and the employees seem friendly enough. The gentleman in the drive-thru this morning 06/22 was super friendly and the gal who made my drink was so quick! 🙂

I'm actually surprised to read the negative reviews...we drive out of our way every weekend to come here and have always had good experiences. The coffee is consistently good (unlike that other place) and the employees are always friendly and fun to talk to.

I drove a distance up to here to try it because I was curious and wanted to try it. I ordered a coffee and it just tasted like black coffee with barely a shot of syrup in it. To me it wasn’t worth the drive. The customer service was no interaction or interest in greeting or anything was literally just here u go and walked away did whatever came back up and walked off again. I was the only customer at the time. I won’t be going back.

We were excited to try a new coffee place today however were “welcomed” by the two most impersonal employees. We asked the gal what her favorite drink was since it was our first time here. She responded by sliding the drink specials paper forward on the counter and walking away. When the gentlemen came over to take our order and we asked him the same question, he proceeded to say he doesn’t drink coffee or tea. Everything about this place was offputting and I bet that isn’t the goal. Unfortunately enough my coffee isn’t good either. Wish it could be a zero star rating :-(
