My girlfriend and I were excited to try this place as a change of pace from our usual spot(O.H.S.O), We were promptly seated and eager to enjoy the evening. Unfortunately, things took a turn. Despite the fact that others around us were being served, we were completely ignored. The waiter even walked past us multiple times, making eye contact, but didn’t acknowledge us. After 25 minutes of waiting with no service, we decided to leave. It was a huge letdown, especially given how much we were looking forward to our visit.

Allie has had the longest running tenure here. And I can say without a doubt she’s been the best by far over the last 5 years. Always on point and friendly.., doesn’t hurt that she’s also very purdy. She will be missed. Going to the Copper Blues tomorrow… if you can, pay her a visit.

Good lunch here in Surprise. Did a flight of 5 beers. All tasty. Mango is probably my favorite. The White Pizza was very tasty. Would definitely come back.

My adult son and I had a positive experience at State 48. We were seated in the quieter “speakeasy” part of the restaurant during happy hour on a week night. Their on-site-made brews were only $4 each and hit the spot. My son ordered a BLT with a fried egg inside, and I ordered the mushroom truffle burger. We both were very happy with our meals. Also, the service was excellent. The restaurant is located in a high traffic area, but we did manage to get parked with no issues. All in all, no complaints and we’ll be back.

Literally the worst $12 ceasers I’ve ever seen. I could have gotten a $3 one from the grocery store that actually had green lettuce. Not impressed at all
Edit to add. How the heck do our brussel sprouts look like this and someone else’s look like the other photo?! Wtf. I guess if you get take out, that means you get the bottom of the barrel food.
Went 1 year ago and wasn't impressed but wanted to give it another shot. Service was crap. The hostess sat my family and I where we waited 30 minutes without being acknowledged before walking out.

The food was just average. I tried the brisket. While it has a decent smoke flavor, it lacked anything more. I was disappointed. The coleslaw was ok but the portions for the price were small. The beer was decent but not enough to make me want to go back. The service was all right. This place looks like it was fun at one time but it is dead now. Can't put my finger on why. With so many other great options here in the valley, we don't need to go back here. I sadly cannot recommend this place.

Easily the best bar in Surprise, I love this bar. The food is amazing, the beer tastes great, and there are so many options. The best aspect is the staff, Jazz knows exactly what she's doing and knocks every drink she makes out of the park. Broc the Sock is always on point, Katie doesn't slip up when getting my order, and Lexi and Sara be putting in work on those taps.
If you aren't going to State while in Surprise, then you aren't going to the right places
