I cannot express how great this business is. 18 of us from ages 2 to 68 met for dinner. We had a common friend but our family was able to meet her family for the first time and they got to meet us. The wait staff was exceptional, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and welcome. One note of caution-the Navajo Burger is a two person feast-be sure you come hungry-all servings are large and the fry bread is heavenly.
We stopped for to fill up on gas & ourselves- lunch! It’s exactly as you would expect a small diner type restaurant off the highway in NE Arizona as you travel. Nothing else there, except a shady covered picnic area between the gas station & restaurant & a very green Sinclair dinosaur. I had the Navajo taco & it was perfect, my husband had the chili, definitely not your traditional chili, more like seasoned, cooked pinto beans with fry bread & he loved it.Only...
If you want the a 3 Michelin Star experience then go to New York or Los Angeles. But if you want a good meal with good portions at a great price then go to the Mexican Water restaurant. Home style Rez cooking. Delicious!
