This place is good. The waiters and waitresses are so sweet and they do a great job. Management however a little money hungry. Wanting people to pay $150 just to book what they call the bear cove or something. It's a bigger room to the side. The room hardly has AC and they are always slow so I'm not sure why you want to charge $150 for someone to book that spot when they have a big party.

So tired of this black bear it's turning into Country Pride all over again. They're destroying the black bear name. Don't even take my broccoli out of the portion bags! I tell you if it wasn't for the free ta coupons for free food. I would go into town for a real Black Bear!!!!!!!!! My God they didn't even have chicken fried steak for God's sake!

This place is horribly slow. No one hardly in there. Took them forever just to bring coffee and orange juice and take your order . Worst service ever. If your a trucker and need to go be.ready to wait.
Ordered a orange juice and coffee was going to order steak and eggs. I'll skip Black bear diners next time. The food is definitely NOT worth the long wait.
Thanks for not towing my truck out front. You all are understanding and compassionate. The hostess needs a raise along with the manager on duty. Both are Rockstars and ready for a promotion! Thank you! Keys have been found and will be back to pick up tomorrow afternoon! So grateful!

Getting here early has big disadvantages. Most everything is not fresh. Biscuits are a little dry and not soft. Gravy could use more flavor. The staff is very polite and attentive. Price is competitive.

Pretty good 4 a truck stop restraunt Edit So at 5pm on 7-28-25 we came in and it was Slow,empty ish store and stood at the pondem for almost 10 mins they don't give a shit how long we stand at podium I seated my self , my wife even seat some other people too cause people that work there don't care to even look at you to see if you need to be seated. We ended up leaving when the waitress said she doesn't care what we do when I told her we were calling a store manager.. fyi I was until today pretty much a regular in every single weekend
