Got the brisket and 2 sides! Meat was tender but bland on flavor. Mac n cheese noodles were so over cooked it was like cheese sauce. Okra was perfect fresh and crisp.

Fun atmosphere, dining in a rail car. Generous portions and the food was great! Brisket and ribs onion rings, fries and sweet potato fries were all sampled. Pinto beans have a nice kick and are tasty. Attentive, friendly servers added to the favorable experience. Definitely would come here again!

It’s such a cool little restaurant, I really wanted to love it. Inside and out is so unique. Parking is weird. We made it though. When we got there it was clear they had gotten a bit of a rush. It was seat yourself so we were fine knowing we would wait a bit. Server came but just seemed like she hated life and existence entirely. Figured it was because it was busy. We ordered drinks. She brought those. Waited awhile for for her to come back to order. We ordered apps, and then food. Two of us got a salad bar. It was almost completely out of salad, but we both got one salad each. Food came; apps and entrees at the same time. Fried pickles were probably the best part. Ribs were decent, but the brisket was almost inedible. Oily but somehow still dry. We waited for quite awhile. Service was so slow. But it gave me time to figure out the table next to us was a manager, maybe, or owner, just sitting down hanging out watching tv while his staff is struggling, there was 4 people there. At some point someone asked them about the salad bar and the one guy got up to refill it, without washing his hands or anything, being on his phone and eating food just prior, and fiiled the salad mix and spread it out with his bare hands. Being in the restaurant business myself (server and bartender) I’m usually pretty understanding. But the whole experience just grossed me out. I asked the server on our way out if that was the manager and she did say it was the owner and his sons, I believe. I can totally understand why the servers hate their life’s there. It was busy and the owners would rather take up a table for chit chat than to help their staff and run the restaurant. I’ve heard the do great things for the community, so there’s that. But personally I’ll definitely just pass on this place next time. I put a lot more stock in food handling precautions to feel comfortable here and would prefer to support local restaurants that support their staff.

Passing through and thought this would be a great alternative to McDonald’s by the freeway. Worse BBQ we have had, brisket was swimming in grease, just like grease gravy, and the beef tasted funny. Smoked sausage was basically jerky. Sides were so so… The train car was cute…service was not all that great. BBQ sauce was not good… left with over half the plate on the table since we couldn’t get a waitress to come to rectify, since there was 2 for 8 table..pretty expensive for this horrible experience. Mcdonalds would have been better.

Wow! 5 of us are there, 3 of us got the tiniest portion for the massive price! Ordered 2 of the stuffed baked potato for $14 each and we got a regular sized half cooked potato with only a pinch of cheese and pinch of shredded BBQ meat... Like really?!? That should be a side, not a whole meal and certainly not priced as such! The soft drinks are huge, and the other 2 people got burgers with fries for $15 each that had sizeable portions and tasted good .. but the fries old and cold ..... The 5th person got an Appetizer only : the fried okra @$14 only 8 small pieces!!! Are you guys kidding?!? Come on ... What a rip off....

The beef did not have a barbecued flavor, although the restaurant smelled very barbecue-y. The sauce was missing something, maybe vinegar and liquid smoke. The salad bar was fresh and simple, and the dressings were tasty. No handicap parking, and I didn't see a ramp to get up to the restaurant. Climbing the stairs was very difficult for me.

Food was ok, service was horrible. 5 people in our party, 1 waited for thier food, everyone else was almost done. We had to remind our waitress that we were still waiting on food. She didnt come back to check on us. $10.00 for a single trip to the salad bar that was
seriously lacking in options, is it even a salad without tomatoes? The building was cool.

Would love to review the food, but since the service is soooooo slow- I figured I'd use this time to submit a review. Might be great BBQ, but darn they need to figure out how to pickup the pace. Crazy thing is there's plenty of servers all over the place. Looks like I still have time for a nap before my food comes 😴😴😴

The service wasn't bad. The food was straight trash 🗑 with a big dunk. I'll start with the brisket....who the hell cooks a brisket like a pot roast? Tough, needed a steak knife to cut through it. Ohh the mac and cheese, I've had better kraft mac and cheese in a microwave meal. This joint wouldn't know BBQ if it hit them dead square in the balls. I'm not even going to get started on the rest of the food. The fried pickle spears were pretty good though.

Absolutely amazing! If for any reason you find yourself in Wilcox or even within a hours drive, this place is worth traveling to! The food was fresh and so delicious. The meats were perfect, it's really hard to find good BBQ and this place nailed it. Even the drinks and salad bar were top tier. If you are looking for real smoked meat that tastes amazing this is the place.
