We were visiting the area from Chicago to hike the mountains and had dinner here with the family. First impressions when walking in the restaurant was very bright and not super comfortable. They could do with some candles on the table and dimmable overhead lighting. Aside from that the service was great and the food was delicious! I had the ribs which were some of the best I've ever eaten! The side of mashed potatoes and gravy were very good too! We would def come back to eat here!

WARNING!!!... If you value your gut health & digestive system read this, it's a little long but worth it....My wife & I stopped here on our way home from anniversary vacation to have dinner & take a break from the road. On the surface & initial look of the restaurant looks good however the waitress which was very polite & courteous seated us next to bathrooms so I could see into kitchen area. Needless to say that's when I noticed so cleanliness issues as well as the smell of old food or a dirty grease trap, then when the waitress brought out our order I noticed a few more things. During eating our meals I noticed my wife haven't really ate much of her baked potato & the butter she put on it didn't melt so I thought maybe it was cold which it was but that's not all. Things I noticed with my meal (chicken fried steak) was the green beans were also days old & the chicken fried steak tasted like it was fried in old oil. After we paid the bill & left talking with my wife I asked her about the food & baked potato she replied that it was cold, tasted funny as well as having tiny black spots like course pepper (turned out to be mold later learned through Google search) even though she didn't put any pepper on it. I told her about the condition of my food & we both figured being a Tuesday evening the side dishes & baked potato were probably leftovers from the weekend that didn't sell. The reasons we didn't complain were the waitress was very polite, courteous, helpful and we tired & hungry from our drive. Later after we arrived home (3 1/2hrs) we had just climbed into bed when my wife complained of stomach pains & bloating which caused her to jump up & run to the restroom. This happened to her several times during the nite but with the help of heating pad & some Pepto she was able to get rest. Myself on the other hand didn't sleep well due to burping up old greasy food & some heartburn to top it off. I understand that times are tough & things are expensive so it's hard on small privately owned restaurants but this place is supposed to be one of Wilcox's better restaurants & a steakhouse that sells $43.99 ribeye steaks, which thankfully we decided not to order due to the conditions we noticed. I have to say beware of this restaurant as it is a walking health violation & I will be sure to let people we know that travel through that area so they don't have the same experience as we had, have eaten at plenty of small restaurants in small towns that looked sketchy but this place was the worst. It's your decision at the end of day literally however like I said if you value your digestive health I wouldn't choose this restaurant what a shame....

The food and service were on par with a chili's and yet way more expensive. While I ate, a local came in and complained about the prices. Apparently, they recently changed prices, and he wasn't happy. I gave two stars because it was edible and pretty clean. It's just way too expensive for what you get.

The owner made changes where everything is alacart. Not liking it !! I ordered a 14 oz rib eye ( $38 ) and was told that if I wanted a baked potato it would be extra ( $6 ) and if I wanted a trip to the salad bar to add on another $6. We've been there many times and the single trip salad bar and baked potato was included with the price of the steak. The steak was pretty good but a little tough. Salad bar was fresh but $50 is to much for their steak. Well go back to the Silver Saddle in Tucson next time. The service was great and I tipped her very well.

The food was pretty good, although I can honestly say I was a little disappointed that there wasn't either sirloin steak nor a filet. The homemade mashed potatoes were good, but just a smidge dry and bland. But everyone in our group seemed to enjoy all of the food. A couple comments had been made though about not tasting any alcohol in the one drink they each got, so the ones who ordered those drinks didn't bother ordering a second drink. Overall, I would definitely go back again. It would be nice if they add sirloin and/or of filet to the menu. But like I said I'll go back. 🥩🍹
The waitress told me I had to order food with my drink or I couldn’t be in the restaurant. She said it had something to do with their liquor license. I work in food and I know that’s incorrect. Staff lies to try and up the bill amount.
