Me and the wife visited this restaurant for lunch today. The ordering was fast, and food was served pretty fast, I would say within the 7-10 minute period. The server was very professional and cordial, food tasted awesome, right from bite 1. There were infact two young guys running it, and both were really good. We would go there repeatedly, I think.

Went on a sunday, the place is packed, yet we got seats for 2. $8 to unlimited play per person. Good food and drinks (these are additional costs), very nice staff and one of the best places for introverts! What we played: Villainous Connect 4 5-Minute Mystery Ticket to Ride
Such a fun atmosphere and great food/service! Friendly staff. Their hazelnut oat latte is 10x better than Starbucks. Can’t wait to continue bringing our friends here and having fun game nights!

Great place to drop in to play DnD! We had a fun experience with our first time playing. The DM was so creative, entertaining and easy going for new players to join in. Everyone was so nice and understanding with our newness.
I have talked a long time with the manager/ owner! I was extremely impressed by his dedication to making this Halal restaurant work for the community! Alhamdulillah!
He puts in 18 hour days, to make Boardwalk a success story! Support him and Spread the word, InshaAllah!

This was my first time attending their monthly puzzle competition but due to work issues, we were going to be super late. I called ahead of time and was notified that it’ was fine since we’ve paid for it anyway, so we can still show up to get our puzzle and drinks. Upon showing up, I was told that someone else showed up giving the same reason and they assumed it was me, so they gave the puzzle to the other person, and there was nothing for me. Keeping in mind, it’s an hour drive from Vancouver and I’ve booked this weeks in advance. Then, I was given $35 cash which wasn’t a full refund (cost was ($49) because they have to pay the vendor who sells the tickets - eventbrite. This is not my fault, so I’m still losing money because they made a mistake. Then, to play games here, it’s $8/pp and due to the error, they offered us half off, so that’s $4/pp. so instead of a full refund of $49, I got $35 cash and $8 “discount”, so that is $43
back. So, because they made the mistake of not verifying that someone had a ticket, despite me calling in advance to let them know I will be late, I was charged $6 with nothing to show for it, because I don’t get to bring a puzzle home. This was such a horrible experience for someone who’ve never been here before, especially reading all the positive reviews. Your team did not care at all for your mistakes, and the fact that I’m being penalized for the mistake is absolutely terrible. This was a horrible horrible experience.
Note: As I was typing this, so already sitting without ordering anything for about 20 minutes, the guy came by and once again said due to the “misunderstanding “, versus due to our mistake, he will now be allowing us to play for free (instead of 50% off) and gave us 2 free session pass cards. If we left right away and did not return, I still only got $35 cash. I did not say anything for the sudden change, but perhaps he saw how angry I was and decided to do more, but it was still too late. Despite my frustration, my partner found a game and ordered some food. The food was good but I still had a horrible experience, and still stand by the fact that it was poorly handled and a bad reasoning to give away someone’s ticket essentially because they “assumed” and didn’t verify their identification. Poor training, poor customer service. I hope I’ll eventually move on to try return again as it was a nice place. I was very eager to attend the puzzle competition and hope to have the chance to do it one day.

The staff were all very welcoming, friendly, and especially accommodating. I came to the place much earlier than my reservation was for, but despite being hours in advance, they gave me a table right away and served me. They offer a wide assortment of games in a clean and comfortable environment. The atmosphere was quietly energetic and could be considered lively, seeing as it was Wednesday night in Nap-otsford, where mostly everything is closed or empty by eight😴 I had a geat time there and I recommend it to anyone looking for a chill place to relax and socialize.

Went here for the first time and enjoyed it.
Wide selection of games and I saw the staff explaining a game to some teenagers who didn't understand it which I thought was cool.
Food and coffee were good.

The people here are so polite, amazing selection of games both classic and new, even some of the centuries old games. Moreover the food is amazing.
Also a family of geese walked by last I was here. Not anything to do with the service but very cute

I so much wanted to give this place a 5 star across the board. They are first and foremost a games cafe. But they fell flat on the food. I mean they pulled a stinker. We explained meticulously that my son is a celiac and could not have wheat. We agreed that a small cup of corn nachos would be delivered instead. What came to our table? Wheat bread. The conversation was literally 4 minutes before. The two dishes we ordered were small and outrageously priced. I really want to see this place survive so I understand the they need to charge more for food. And they don't even have a kitchen. The formula for me would be: eat beforehand but visit more often. The place is clean and has some private rooms for groups. Great game selection. Apparently they have a games master but no one came by while we visited. It wasn't busy.
