Cactus Club Cafe Abbotsford

1st it was no plates given with appetizers.
Then the Garden Veggie burger I ordered came out and my first bite i tasted Bacon!!!! (All other ordered food was vegan FYI) I got sorry about that. I then waited so long that my husband was done eating and had his plate cleared before I got my food. The lack of care about feeding Meat to someone who doesn't eat it is a BIG DEAL! Definitely felt like the situation wasn't handle well.

The food (proper food i ordered) was good the atmosphere was great it was just the customer service that wasn't good.

Our server, Nadia, was 5 stars! Loved the fish tacos and the crispy tofu bowl! The avocado dip with chips didn’t hit. Patio with open windows was great on a July day😁👍

This place is absolutely wonderful, its typically busy but its busy for a reason. Food is excellent and the service is PHENOMENAL they hear out all requests and genuinely try their best to make your night excellent. Shout out to Shane my server he was amazing he went above and beyond to make my night, we went out if his way to find my favorite drink and I appreciate his kind and polite demeanor as well as his willingness to converse when we felt chatty, the best server I've ever had the pleasure meeting

Absolutely Outstanding Experience!

I had an incredible dining experience at Cactus Club Café in Abbotsford! The food was exceptional — every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. From the appetizers to the main course, everything was perfectly cooked and delicious.

What really stood out, though, was the outstanding service. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel truly welcomed. You could tell they genuinely cared about making our visit special.

Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just want a great meal out, Cactus Club Abbotsford delivers on every front — ambiance, food, and top-tier service. Highly recommend!

Awesome Ambience

Trendy. Good food and decent portions. A few craft brews and good wine selection. Can be hard to find parking, DO NOT park in the McD's parking lot, you WILL be ticketed. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, comfort level is good. Enjoyable lunches here.

July 2025 (Still 4 stars)

We made reservations for two for 5:45pm and let the restaurant know it was our 28th anniversary. Upon arrival, we were sat almost immediately and congratulated on our special day. Once seated, drink orders were taken and served in a timely fashion. The place was busy, but not crazy and we were able to easily have conversation and hear each other. We were seated in a cozy booth in the dining room which I think offered some intimacy to our dining and blocked some of the hub bub going on around us. We ordered an appetizer of sweet potato fries with garlic aioli and ordered our main at the same time. The appetizer was served after about 15 minutes, but it took almost 45 minutes after that to get our mains.
We both had the Creole steak and prawns. I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of mine, however it was a little spicy for the boss. Her Sunset soda cooled the heat while my parallel 49 epic IPA slaked my thirst.
We were both disappointed that no one other than the greeter congratulated us on our 28th anniversary, and how little anyone asked us how our meal was going or offered us more libations. We were asked once, almost at the end of the meal, how everything was going, and I had to point at my long empty glass and suggest I may want another drink.
All in all it was a good meal, if somewhat expensive, for the size of the portion received, but the lack of attentive servers really was noticeable and detracted from the whole experience. Needless to say, we tip accordingly. This easily could have been a $30-$35 tip, alas, it wasn't earned.

Recently heard about some family members running into issues at this location. Very disappointed as we come dine in here often. The amount of times I’ve heard minority groups being mishandled at this location is just unbelievable at this point. We have never had issues before at any other locations. In fact, other locations have always treated us with respect and we are appreciative of that. We won’t be coming here any longer and will reccomend all other minority groups to stay away unless you want to deal with an ignorant management. First they falsely accused a family member. Then proceeded to ban a member of the same group because they were angry and stood up for her. Cactus Abbotsford, please teach your staff and management team how to handle situations like this better. We will not be taking this lightly and will be sure to spread the awareness of this situation.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have been visiting this cactus for many years and have spent a fortune at this location and never had a bad experience. Always respectful to the staff. Recently was accused of drinking in the parking lot just because we were in our car for approx 15 mins before entering the restaurant. The very short front desk lady was extremely rude and talking to us in a passage aggressive tone. We left immediately without causing a scene. The cops were called by the restaurant and we were pulled over and our driver was put through a sobriety test. To no one’s surprise, our driver passed the test. And we we let go. If you want to ruin your night out with family and friends I highly recommend visiting Cactus Abbotsford

The worst management team I’ve ever seen at any cactus. Two encounters with the same girl up at the front left us disappointed. We were definitely being discriminated against. Banned a member from our group after we were angry when they falsely accused us of drinking in the car. (Got no apology for that false accusation) Asked to speak to a more senior member but the guest services representative didn’t really help with that. Very disappointed since I’ve never had any issues at any other location ever. Please do better and teach that girl up at the front some manners!!

The birthday creme brulé was excellent. Our server was spot on.!

No Caeser salad (only something with kale?? Really??). No soup at all. Music waayyy too loud for absolutely no reason whatsoever. A hamburger with meat thinner than a slice of cheese. I would happily pay a bit more for a real piece of meat for a hamburger. Fries were good, like those. Host staff are pleasant. Only reason I came is because I was given a gift certificate. First time here. Last time here.
