We had a party of nine people for the Townhall breakfast on Sunday which is the best value in town. The kitchen put out the food quickly and the orders were perfect and hot. Service was punctual even though they were shortstaffed.
It was a Sunday brunch, very excellent value for your dollar although the kitchen over cooked my poached eggs. Mikayla is always on point & very good! I think the night shift needs to pay more attention to the Restrooms because they are quite the mess in the morning, sticky floors, etc. all in all very excellent.
Breakfast special was very good and eggs poached perfectly. Just wish the slice of bread was not so small to fit an egg on each half. Service was good but would be nice to have drink a few minutes before breakfast arrived. Having said the above...still one of our favourite places for breakfast.
We were surprised! We have been here before but today we had a host greet us right away and said they would have our table ready soon. It was Father's day and it looked busy. The server came soon after we were seated and took our breakfast order. The food was delicious, the bacon was done to perfection! The noise level got better when one of the tables left. Over all we enjoyed our time there. The food and the service was great!!
Worst experience I have ever has ar a Townhall. Short staffed , poorly trained cook and a manager that couldn't prioritize. Our waitress, the only fully trained waitress of the 2 working the entire pub, did her best but couldn't overcome the incompetence of her manager and the kitchen staff. It will be a long time before I return.
Server was super friendly and attentive to us. The food was served in good time, and they were busy. Brunch special is a great value and has just enough selection, personally I wish they had a better substitute for potatoes, but that's just me.
We used Open Table to reserve a table for 6 at Townhall. No one acknowledged us for the 1st 20min. Once finding our own table at the back, an off-site server, who just came in for his tips, helped us. He stayed to serve us on his day off as they were busy and under staffed. He was amazing!. The noise level was high until Happy Hour was over. Then it was dead. Food was great and cheap as we ate off the Happy Hour special menu
Service was not great: super slow to take drink orders, super slow getting bills processed. I have been in the past and really enjoyed it however this experience was such that I'll never return.
Came in for 530 for resos. Our appies took 40mins to come out and were cold..our dinner was bland and flavorless. I felt bad there was only one waitress until 6pm so she got dumped on by everyone. Won't be going back again, sorry! What a disappointment and waste of money. Instead of having out meal discounted, we got one of our beers for free despite everything lol
We went for Xmas Eve dinner and our 18th wedding anniversary. We were the only ones there except for one other table. The soda pops were flat, the food was mediocre, and it took 10 mins before someone came to take our orders. We are not in a hurry to go back.
Restaurantji Recommends
Went with my sister and brother in law for fish and chips. The food was OK, service was good but the sound was kind of loud. It was bingo night so lots of music and a very enthusiastic DJ.
Went with friends for fish and chips. They were amazing. The coleslaw was so good, almost asked for more. Love the roasted lemon that came with the meal. The service was excellent and the meal came fairly fast. Absolutely no complaints at all. We will all 4 definately be going back to for more food again soon.
Do not recommend this place for the mentally saine or people of good music taste. waste of time, money, going here may drop your IQ by a few....
We visit this establishment often but it's insane to pay for one extra dipping sauce ...one is given with the meal its not even filled. but it certainly isn't enough.Stop charging for the dipping sauce.Or , provide two with the dish & anymore after that it would make sense to charge. Secondly..cold potatoe chips sent out on the happy hour & to add they were bottom of the barrel persay crunched up chips can't do much to dip in the French dip.I ordered a side dish of chips to be able to use the French dip only to cost me 5 bucks more.
Not worth the money. First, we sat ourselves as there was no greeter. Then we had to go find someone to come to our table after 10 minutes of sitting there while workers were gathered around the bar talking. We finally got beverages, but I had to ask for a spoon for my coffee as there was no silver wear. Our food did come fairly quickly as there we only a few customers in the place. It was warm at best. I asked for a container to take home leftovers and after 10 minutes, I finally got up and got my own after seeing where they were located. We were there at 5:50 and left by 7:08 after waiting a long time to pay.
