The closest thing we’ve got in Los Angeles is Pink’s, and honestly—Pink’s doesn’t even come close to Lully’s. Not in flavor, not in size, and definitely not in personality. Lully’s has two spots in Abbotsford: one in the Canadian Tire parking lot and another inside the Abbotsford Centre, home of the Canucks. We stopped in and had the kind of lunch you don’t forget. We were lucky enough to meet Skully, the owner, and Ryan—both overflowing with energy, talking like they’re straight out of Boston. Be ready for stories, laughs, and some of the best customer service you’ll ever get. Skully is pure gold—a one-of-a-kind guy who makes you feel like an old friend. And the food? Absolute perfection. The hot dogs are huge and juicy, served on warm pretzel roll buns that take them to a whole new level. The onions—hands down the best I’ve ever had—are an absolute must. And don’t skip the homemade sauces; each one is loaded with flavor and elevates the whole experience. Next time you’re anywhere in the Lower Mainland, make Lully’s your first stop. This is my go to place, you gonna have a best hot dogs in your life and have a good time with the jokes and experience from Skully.
This pop up type covered patio in the Canadian Tire parking lot is unique and worth the effort to seek out if you crave a specialty hot dog or just happen to be in Abbotsfod. . The all beef dogs are huge and delicious cooked on the grill when you order up! Served with a variety of fresh toppings including smoked meat, cheese and homemade relishing Montreal style coleslaw, they are filling and truly satisfying. The banter from Lully himself that accompanies preparation is worthy of its own podcast! He'll even take a moment to pose for a pic, when he's not slammed. Get there early because he usually sells out by 3 pm on a summer day. Great choice of soft drinks, too, to wash down your dog. If you sign up to be a Living Kidney Donor, you get free dogs for life. Posters around the eating area show you how committed he is to the cause. Just don't ask for ketchup!
