We went to Oriental Village Chinese Restaurant in Abbotsford on Family Day, and it was just alright.Despite the place not being packed, they were super busy with online orders and takeouts, so we waited about 30 minutes for our first meal. The food was decent but nothing special. The real letdown was finding some shrimp that weren't deveined and even a piece of steel wool in our dishes. They were apologetic and replaced the dish, but it definitely affected my overall experience. Also, the washroom could definitely use some attention. It fell a bit short of expectations.

They split my 3 item combination plate into 3 by putting the items on 3 small plates so the items would be kept separate which is a much better way to eat it.

Had dinner with my husband and our friend visiting from out of town (who had been here before & recommended this place). With our friend being vegetarian, we ordered: the vegetable fried rice, Cantonese crispy noodles (but with just vegetables), and veggie egg foo yung. The waiter accomodated our changes and also precautioned us that the noodles & egg dishes would take more cooking time than the rice which was fine with us. As the food came out, they were hot. We all commented how was perfectly flavourful the food was and not greasy at all, like many other places. One thing we did find weird was the cinematic-esque videos showing people preparing *interesting* cuts of meat, which made the atmosphere a bit unappetizing. But overall, we would come back for the food again.

We ordered take out from here tonight for the first time and safe to say we’re not ordering again. We had a few combos and the prawns in one of the combos weren’t deveined so they were gritty. Pretty gross. The rest was bland and mushy.

I have to say without a doubt that Oriental Village is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Abbotsford to date. It's a nice little restaurant, with very friendly staff that quickly made us feel welcome and had us seated and ready to take our orders in a short time.We have been here twice so far and thus far have been extremely happy with our menu choices. Often, when I order from other Chinese food places, I find something on the menu that falls short of my expectations. This was NOT the case here!So far, every dish we have ordered from the menu has exceeded my expectations and experiences at other restaurants. I highly recommend the lemon chicken dish here. It's absolutely fantastic, as is the BBQ pork chowmein, mushroom fried rice, and beef with oyster sauce. The servings here taste fresh and come out to your table hot, not lukewarm, the portions, in my opinion, are very well sized for the price. Two people can just order two dishes to share and easily leave full of delicious food and well satisfied.I have no problems leaving the Oriental Village a 5 star review, we will be back often, and if you haven't been I highly suggest giving them a visit I don't believe you'd be disappointed.Parking: The parking lot is free, and depending on the time you visit will dictate how difficult it is to get a spot as the lot isn't huge, but the Super store parking lot is directly across the street if needed or nearby street parking is available.Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is a flat grade with a doorway that should have no trouble accommodating a customer in a wheelchair.

The Best Chinese Restaurant I have had in Canada. The first time we dined here we fell in love with their lemon chicken, the batter was so light and not doughy in the inside. The outer is crispy and the chicken was well seasoned and did not feel greasy at all. The beef with oyster sauce and pork bbq chow mein is also highly recommended. We also tried their mushroom fried rice and it did not disappoint as well. Just a heads up though they are only open for dinner service. The staff are efficient and the atmosphere is very friendly and not intimidating. We enjoy this little restaurant a lot that we kept coming back for more. Price is worth it and serving portions are great! Try them and be ready to get amazed by some real good Chinese food!

Our first times ordering from here, we got a family dinner for 3, food came hot and fresh, price was very reasonable and we would definitely order again. Our only complaint would be the beef chop suey had very little beef in it and a ton of onions and carrots so the ratio could be a little better but otherwise enjoyable food.

I had the beef with ginger and green onion hot pot. It was delicious.I ordered for pick up and the lady that greeted me was very pleasant and friendly. Again the hot pot was delicious.

Excellent family style Chinese restaurant. Best egg rolls in town. The spices are unique and pleasant but not overpowering. Huge portions, very flavourful noodles and rice. The sweet and sour is balanced not cloyingly sweet. Come in person 4-8 pm for wonderful and friendly service or call in for pick up or delivery. Skip the app and support local business. Great place.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access, wide seating.
