Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Service is good, but the food is average at best. Might go back at some point but there is really nothing that makes me wanting to return, at least anytime soon.
We made reso’s for a friend's birthday - awesome Happy Hour appies and drinks! This is one of our favorite restaurant even tho we moved to Coquitlam we still meet up there with friends!
Had a Valentines steak dinner date and our experienced was very good. The place is a bit busy but we got seated right away even without a reservation. Staff are friendly and attentive with our needs. The Calamari we ordered was very good but I find it small serving but tasted very good. Our steak was done as requested and the cream corm with bacon is my favorite tonight. Will definitely go back here.
Nice steakhouse meal on the patio deck. Food was excellent and the service was very good. I would have given it a 5 but the outdoor ambiance gets a bit lost with the traffic and noise around.
From the time we sat down, the restaurant seemed ill prepared. Ordered a Guinness, something was wrong with their Guinness tap so they only had cans, I ordered it anyway and it’s the first time ever receiving a Guinness in a regular glass. We ordered bread for the table with appies, thé server came back to the table again to say they had no bread that day while we watched bread being served to the table behind us. Both separate appetizers were missing ingredients listed ON THE MENU on both plates. After trying to order other meals only to be told they were all out and there was a supplier issue, we ordered oven Roasted Wild Halibut for $32……it’s the first time I have ever used a knife to CUT HALIBUT. I’ll say it again….the halibut was so overcooked we had to cut it. I am not sure why this place is so busy. When we decided to go there, we did not have reservations so we waited, 45 min no problem but we were told that we would have to sit on bar stools because they only keep lower seating for customers with reservations. We tried to order table side ice cream, were told they are not serving anything table side during COVID…at the same time a server is making cocktails table side right next to our table. Seriously. Here’s a tip! You have a digital menu……..REMOVE IT. I spent $75 and I regretted it immediately. Won’t be back and will not recommend it to anyone. I’ll stay in Vancouver next time.
Nothing special about this place. Came for happy hour/early dinner. Had the steak bites I think - were a little spicy. Not a big portion. Wasn't super impressed with anything. Decor is kind of old and heavy, lots of brown. Good to try but wouldn't come again
Went here to celebrate a birthday dinner. Got there in time for happy hour- the drinks were reasonable, the appys ok for value and taste. We decided to order an entree and I had the cod. The portion was tiny and served over squash, nothing else was served with it. The cod was tasty, the squash was not. I expected more for $30. My husband got the chicken sandwich and it was the smallest thing I've ever seen. The service was good, but the the food was below average for the prices they charge. I think most people go for the appy menu.
My wife and I haven't been to S+L for a while. We stopped by to try their late night happy hour which goes from 9pm to closing (which happens to be 10pm due to pandemic restrictions) Lots of good happy hour options. All very reasonably priced. All the dishes we tried had nice flavours. We enjoyed them all. Definitely our new happy hour spot. We'll be back.
Decided to visit S&L in Langley last night for a birthday dinner. All Covid protocol was followed and the 2 of us were seated at a large booth with plenty of room between other patrons. We were actually waited on by the manager and had a wonderful evening with Luke. Time for him to visit with us as we slowly worked our way thru the Bread Pull apart appi, filet for dinner (incredibly tender and cooked perfectly) and a new addition to the menu - roasted veggies. I actually could have just eaten a plate of the veggies they were that good. During Covid (when we go out rarely) - to have a fabulous dinner and staff that care about you as a customer made the evening even more special. A big thank-you to everone there.
I was invited to S and L for lunch with a friend, and am I ever glad I wasn't busy that day! The restaurant is very modern and COVID safety precautions were there. Our server was lovely and very attentive. We shared the Salt Spring Island Mussels and the "My Hero Chicken Bowl". The mussels were done perfectly and we fought over the broth!! There was enough food in the chicken bowl for my friend to take a bit home for dinner. I actually called today and am taking another friend there for lunch tomorrow. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. 10 stars!!!!

Enjoyed a nice visit with my uncle ,he love this restaurant ,and told me it is the only restaurant in Langley he go to ,not that busy or noise like the Keg ,so I went along , lot of parking , decor very mordant and clean , ( almost like a neighborhood pub ) their safety plan and social distance nicely done , we feel very comfortable , booths separated with plexiglass well protect but I was surprise to see the whole restaurant so empty ,,may be too early , menu have a lot to choose from , we both choice the Prawn cocktail ,very good size and freshly make ,(no freeze burn taste ) the lobster & prawn Linguini delicious and flavourful ,just enough sauce not over powered the pasta ,very good cooking skill ,the lobsters and prawns cut it too small in a little pics , service very friendly , I will be back for my next visit with my uncle Joe ! price very reasonable .
