Raven's Bar + Grill

The restaurant was dead and our server was only serving myself and one other customer. It took 20 mins to make a simple poutine. When I confronted the server about how much longer until the poutine was ready, she finally made the meal and didn't even properly serve it to my table. The server was just casually making conversation with the other airport staff and served us while taking a personal call.

Food didn’t take the full 15 minutes like they said it would, it was hot and fresh. Cashiers/workers seemed confused and weren’t serving people very fast. A couple of people that ordered before me had their order forgotten about and they had to remind them to pick it up.

- 100 stars! Never ever again! What a nightmare! Where is the food inspector? Dirty table! They brought my food out in dirty boxes! I don’t know why but I decided the food looked ok and the inside of the box was pretty clean but now I don’t feel good! Likely will be out for 3 days of food poisoning. Witnessed staff treating customers poorly and some staff peaking out from behind corner to see customer reaction to terrible product. I am very suspicious and suspect this is a horribly run culture. Can the airport step up and do something about this? This is unacceptable! Always read reviews before eating not after like I did! Do not go to this place and make your voice heard to the airport so they can maybe shut it down.

Overpriced, slow and disappointing.
Egg salad sandwich was mostly bread with a small spoonful of egg salad, which really didnt have any flavor. Cinnamon bun was dry and tasteless aside from the small smear of icing on top.
Customer service left much to be desired.

Had Earl Grey tea might as well asked for boiling water with milk!

Waited 30 min for my quesadillas went back to cashier they forgot and started making. Only 3 other people in restaurant while the 4 ladies on shift stood around chatting.

Forgot our order after 30 mins we reminded them cause all 4 employees were hanging out having fun and not cooking

There are 2 Ravens Bars, one before security and one after security in the holding lounge. The one outside closes early like 7pm, the one inside's kitchen closes early too, but it closes at 11 for grab and go. I actually liked the cold food better. Not as expensive and still tasty.

Would go lower if I could. Ordered Split Pea soup, got Tuscan soup instead. Brought it up with the person up front, who very rudely insisted I had asked for a Tuscan. Menu description said it'd come with a bun, but I only got crackers. Rude service, high prices, mediocre food.

UPDATE: 5 years after my initial review, I thought I'd give them another shot (because, really, what choice did I have when they're the only place serving food?) - and they were sold out of basically everything on their menu at peak dinner time.

Suffice to say, still terrible.

First time flying out of Abbotsford Airport, what a disappointing choice of food. This doesn’t even qualify as a real restaurant. I’m not expecting fine dining but this is a sorry excuse for the only place to eat while waiting 3 hours for a flight.
