Still the best restaurant in Abbotsford and beyond. The food is delicious. I've left excellent reviews before. BUT last night the service was a bit off.
I have been going to this restaurant since they first opened over a decade ago and every time is an amazing experience. I've also tried their catering, which is also top-notch. The food, ambiance, and service is always second to none. I've been there for a few important client lunches as well and the menu is completely different but still exceptional.
Unfortunately, we did not have a great experience at Restaurant 62 last week. We don't normally dine at higher end restaurants, due to cost, but we had been given a gift certificate at Christmas and were excited to have a night out at a "nicer" restaurant. We had an early (5:30) reservation, so we thought we would be early enough for a nice table. However, when we were led to a back room (even though there were tables available in the main dining area) I was disappointed. The room wasn't even as nice as my own kitchen. The walls were beat up (in desperate need of a fresh coat of paint) there was a tv on the wall beside our table, like a sports pub, and the tables were close together. There was zero ambience. We ordered from the special menu. Our meal arrived in a decent amount of time, but the protein was barely warm, the potatoes undercooked and the vegetables soggy. We sent it back, expecting a fresh dish. We were given a dish that had been microwaved, with no improvement from the first attempt. We were very disappointed. Our server though was kind, apologetic, and tried to rectify the situation. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to. I doubt we will be returning any time soon.
The server was completely disrespectful when dealing with an allergy and health concern about a dish, that was disclosed beforehand, they argued with us for why we cannot "just eat around " the thing were allergic to and that we shouldint ask them to take a dish back.. Alao the menu of the day and layout was made out of printer paper and faded inking which had the quality of a standard printer paper. The plating of the food was horrible, why would we want our salad drowned in so much sauce that you can't see the meal? Not to mention the quality of the cuts was lazy and not even plated beyond proper shmere around the glazing of the accenting
Always delicious! The Tuna Bowl has so many good flavours! Millie was friendly, attentive and very detailed with specials!
We chose the set menu and thoroughly enjoyed it. The flavours were very good though maybe a tad salty for our taste but still very good. The timing of the service was excellent.
My husband ordered the steak and short rib as part of the taste out menu, he was never asked how he would like the steak cooked and it came super dry, same as the rockfish, was dry and fishy, like frozen older fish. Not fresh and not worth the money. We wouldn't recommend the taste of Abby set menu, the dessert was also very underwhelming. We were disappointed to say the least, and it was freezing in yh resturant, we wore our jackets then entire time and noticed other people doing the same.
Food was great, service was lovely. Participated in the prix fixe menu and it was excellent, great value and as always the food was to notch.
We rarely get to Abbotsford so we decided to visit a local resto for lunch rather than a chain location. Restaurant 62 was an unexpected pleasure. An excellent modern property with very nice and clean bathrooms. Always a good sign. Our server made a couple of minor changes to a couple of items which we appreciated very much. The food was delicious and well presented. Since we were on the clock, the server organized coffee in to-go cups. I would highly recommend this property.
We love Restaurant 62. It is our top place to eat in Abbotsford. The chef's specials are generally outstanding, but so are the regular offerings. I love the braised short rib, but I have to try the specials almost every time. The BC wine selection is excellent. Service is always good. The ambience is comfortable, despite a kind of warehousy vibe. It is our sense that it would rank among the best restaurants in Vancouver if it were there (and we know them!) and is worth a drive out from Vancouver for those looking for a premium dining experience at a lower price.

Great service from the moment we walked in from Kayla. Restaurant wasn't loud, was warm enough, food came quickly and was hot and cooked well.
The food was disappointing, my lady sent her entree back. The scallops tasted and smelled of alcohol, but rubbing alcohol rather than something you would want to drink. The service was good though, they took the dish off the bill.
I had to send back a whiskey sour; it was like a really tart lemonade. The second one, I requested bitters (as it should have had), and the bartender looked at the server confused and then stirred it into the drink rather than on the egg white. I just sucked it up and drank it. My boyfriend's drink was so sweet he could barely get it down. The food was very good. The service was terrible. We had to get the hostess to find our server to request the bill. She dropped off the bill and disappeared again for about 15 minutes.
Best Restaurant in the entire Valley. This Restaurant never disappoints. Farm to table. They only use food including all their protein from farmers that produce in the Valley. We are huge foodies and there is no restaurant that compares.
R62 opened in their original location about ... 17 years ago and they under Chef Jeff Massey has maintained the same good quality, deliciousness of their food then and since they moved to their current location 9 ish years ago. Thank you for another great experience.
