The Tipsy Barrel Pub

After my first visit, the best thing that I believe I can say that speaks to my very comfortable experience here is that I wish karaoke night would be the standard four hours instead of only three. :)

P.S. (two visits later): reserving my favourite spot for me, even though I said that it was not necessary, and even putting a sign there, was a nice touch

The club starts out fine but then the bartenders and the security get weird and they just kick you out for enjoying yourself. You give them money and they turn on you I don’t get it I’d have a talk with the staff and not be miserable when coming to work this place is weird and they even play trash music that nobody wants to hear. Get it together

My wife and I came here before a hockey game and ordered on happy hour. We had to wait for utensils after our food was placed on our table which was a long wait, then we waited almost 20 minutes to get our bill. The next day we came for brunch thought we'd give the place another go, it was worse. The glasses were dirty, they gave my us the wrong order, they replaced it with our original order. We won't be coming back, servers are lame

Wonderful experience, good food! Fair pricing, and great service. Our server was Harvey he was wonderful! Went above and beyond for us!

So we went today! I wanted to wait for the establishment to adjust to new ownership ( formerly townhall ) ..... we get there and theres plenty of empty tables and it appears 2-3 waitresses .... we wait for one and order dry ribs for an appy which where sauced bbq ribs? But ok? Right? Eat and enjoy anyways. I order a tipsy barrel bowl (with chicken) and he had fish and chips. The bowl had spice that wasnt mentioned in the menu and the fish could have been patted down to remove grease instead of the grease pooling in the plate ? :/ we noticed maybe it was break time? We didnt see staff around or behind the bar and had to wait for someone else to tell our waitress that she needed to come for us to pay our bill ..... so, -1 for greasy food, -1 for unmentioned spice and -1 for waiting and looking for a waitresses.....all minimal and hopefully wont deter many people .....

Bouncers we vanilla. Servers were neglectful. Bartender was boss and held it down like alll seeing eye of sahron but the bouncers were blecghuh

Went friday evening for dinner with the Mrs. We ordered a couple beers to start. Then had our food oder taken. The appetizer came out first. Then things started to go downhill from there. Our meals came out at seperate times, her order came first, then mine. Her food was overcooked so they had to take it and remake it. Meanwhile my order came so I ate alone 😔. Then my wife's meal came back after I had finished my meal, so she ate alone. The nachos the second time we're undercooked, the cheese was not even melted through. Nothing was offered other than the meal to be redone. Not even an apology. Hope this helps!

To be honest I wasn’t sure how things would go after the town hall closed and the Tipsy Barrel took over. Well, concerns alleviated and I’ve found my new Abbotsford spot.
Great selection of IPA’s and the wings were delicious.
Special note regarding my excellent service and thanks to Gauri! She was always right there when I needed her and was ready for suggestions when I asked for them.

We wanted to try this place because we love pub food. The atmosphere was amazing, so warm and inviting. Our server was lovely and very attentive. We started with the cheese toast, which I highly recommend. My daughter had the Alfredo and my other daughter had the chicken strips and both said they were a little bland. I had the chicken burger and it was incredible, the aioli was so good.

Visited Tipsy Barrel for a local dance night on a Friday it was fun younger folks but Dj was great. Revisited for there brunch it was excellent, then returned a third time to watch Superbowl got a few freebies which I had donated to Value village. The simple free items that gets given to the store from liquor retailers. It was still nice they had some gifts, honestly good gifts including jerseys were handed ones out, but I wasn't that lucky lol. Any way food is good. Service was okay , and the atmosphere was lovely . I will be back . Happy someone took this place up from townhall and continue to bring fun to Abbotsford. You can play a few games with kids at the entrance. Fun place. Price is okay could be much better. And not all staff is nice and friendly a few impolite boasty girls work here.
