Nice tasting experience and really good wines here. They know what they've got and aren't trying to recreate Napa Valley varietals. Carlos is a down to earth winemaker and doesn't try to do anything gimmicky either. It's strange that Chaberton is always one of the top recommendations when BLV is so much better.
A few of us dropped by here for a tasting and this was the favourite out of the others we had hit up in the area. Very aromatic and flavourful wines. Tasting room was a bit small and can probably only fit one or two small groups at a time. Water here is from the well but you can buy bottled water here. You can purchase a bottle and enjoy it out on their patio which was a nice size and had umbrellas. We did find it odd that they charge a $5 corkage fee for their own wine if we wanted to enjoy it on the patio.
We had a lovely experience at Blackwood Lane this past Saturday. I have been to the winery a few times prior to the pandemic, and their wines have always been incredible. When my girlfriends and I were planning on which winery to cycle to we had decided on Blackwood Lane. We were initially only planning on staying for a tasting, but after completing the premium tasting and purchasing some bottles for home, we quickly decided we had to sit on their patio to enjoy the beautiful view which paired lovely with our bottle of Cab Franc (perfect patio drinking wine!) You can tell that their wine is something they take immense pride in and isn’t mass produced. Their Alliance Bordeaux Style Blend is an absolute must try as well, it is excellent! We will absolutely be returning to Blackwood Lane for another summer day to enjoy their wine on the patio.
Had a great time doing a tasting and then enjoying their cab franc on the patio for a lovely sunny Sunday outing
Unfriendly and unwelcoming. Nice views from the patio but ridiculous outdated social distancing policies with a frown and unhelpful staff. Not worth the hassle
Thoroughly enjoyed our time. Gorgeous setting, relaxing atmosphere, great tasting wines. We will definitely be returning.
Today I went to Blackwood Lane for the first time. Carlos is an excellent host and I enjoyed every wine I tasted. I highly recommend checking them out!#buylocal
Lovely little spot with a very friendly and knowledgeable owner.
Through covid they've changed their tasting to plastic cups. But other than that, it's beautiful scenery, great wines, and fantastic service.
I love this hidden jewel. The wine is hit and miss, wish they had more choices , but it's great quality and authentic. The service , view and experience is great! Feels like you are somewhere in Italy .

This place looks lovely but had absolutely no personality ! The wines are over priced and nothing special. The patio is great but is starting to show wear and tear and neglect. Another Winery that is All show and no go !
