Sushi tastes great and is a good price and I've enjoyed many dishes I've tried here; however the desert is awful, the cheesecake and pie were frozen and chunky after thawed both times I've ordered

Definitely top two Sushi I've had in all of the Okanagan. Coming from someone that grew up in the Greater Vancouver area that loves sushi. Definitely worth the drive from Vernon

Sushi in small towns can be hit or miss, but wow this spot is a gem! Haven’t had a bad meal yet. Love the sashimi, and the combo meals give you a great amount of food. It’s definitely our go to for a quick delicious meal in Armstrong. If you’re craving Japanese food, make sure to stop by.

Reasonable priced great food ,I stop by 1-2 times month to treat myself with good company ?.Vegetarian options: Just ask your server and she will be happy to let you know what is what on the menu.Kid-friendliness: Again kids are always welcome

Usually the food is good but today the Veggie roll had lettuce that was clearly old and tasted old. Lettuce is not expensive and should at least be fresh. The miso soup had no tofu or green onion in it and normally it does.

I used to love Haru sushi four years ago, the quality of food was above and beyond, sadly not the case anymore. (I think because the original people opened a new place in Vernon)I get that inflation is high so I understand the price increase but the quality is lacking. The tempura was swimming in grease and slightly over cooked. The dipping sauce again tasted super watered down.My husbands chicken curry looked good, till he got to the bottom of the bowl, which was again swimming in oil. My veggie yakisoba lacked flavour but was still decent, just a very small portion for what you pay. The veggie cold noodle salad again tasted watered down and lacked flavour but the texture was good! The only thing that had quality flavour was the miso soup. Also lay off the MSG, its good but it’s not going to replace quality. The girls serving were friendly but lacked experience and didn’t seem to care about their job. They didn’t seat us when we stood at the door, and had to walk up to the counter. Which then they told us to sit anywhere. They eventually told us that the high chairs were over there in the corner, which at typical restaurants they bring you one. They took a while to bring us a couple menus but eventually did. Asked us what we would like to drink, and placed our pop cans on the table. (Usually they give you a cup of ice with it.) I can’t hate too much because I’ve been their age working in the food industry. Overall they were friendly but they just needed a little guidance on how to do things properly. The whole place seems poorly managed and lacking any sort of passion or direction in what kind of place this is. I would know because I’m also a business owner and I know what it’s like to lose passion especially after covid etc.You need someone in there front of house that’s a manager. I wouldn’t have a table so close to the till counter, the white couch chairs are comfy but doesn’t suit the atmosphere. I also make a seating area for people waiting for pick up. You lost a group because one guy was waiting at a table for four. I hope you take my words into consideration ?Edit: I’ve changed my rating because I respect and appreciate the response the owner gave me. I’ve had many good experiences in the past with this restaurant. I understand the raising food costs and feel for your business. ❤️ All the best and take care!
