After five years on the hill, we finally made it out for dinner at Woods — and it did not disappoint. The staff’s welcome was warm, their recommendations were spot on, and the milk-poached cod was incredibly flavorful and perfectly balanced. We left feeling both satisfied and grateful.

Dissapointing. The pan fried Kalamari is more like seafood soup than anything else. We visited on a Thursday and the wait was 45 mins to get in and the service was meh. The fries that came with my son's kids meal were the best thing we had out of what we ordered.

Had lunch here and it was truly disappointing. We ordered the beef dip, salmon Caesar salad and split the French onion soup and all 3 were inedible.

The beef dip was doused in garlic aoli which left you tasting and smelling only garlic, the salad was smoked salmon which was overpowering and the French onion soup was all salt - $17 for this is ridiculous.

Would not eat here again. Sit outside and order a poutine from the order window or pack your own ham and cheese.

We had the brie, rabbit, chicken maryland and pork chops during our visit.

The brie came in a hot iron pan with toasted bread, it was really good and highly recommend.

The rabbit came in a cold glass jar with toasted bread, it tasted like cold chicken with congealed fat, not recommend even if you like rabbit.

The pork chop came with apple sauce and brussel sprouts, this is highly recommend and probably the best meal I've had in Big White.

The chicken Maryland came with crispy skin, orzo and some greens, the orzo was amazing, the chicken was moist, also recommended.

We have gone to lunch at The Woods more than five times this season and this will be our last. Considering the menu is so small, it’s surprising they don’t make the few meals that they offer well. We have yet to order a meal we enjoy, other than the French onion soup (which is very good). The beef dip is terrible - while at lunch the lady at the table next to us threw it back up and told the server it had too many “gnarly” bits in it. Which would be the same experience we had a few months back for the one and only time we’ve ordered it. The kids meals are only fine but very over priced. Service is great and drinks are good. Don’t go for the food.

Ok, I’ve been to the woods before, and it was ok, but I legit tonight I had one of the best meals I’ve had in a loooong time there. The cod IS TO DIE FOR! Service was excellent all the way around, truly everything from the drinks to the dessert was amazing. My friend was upset about the 5oz pour but other than that, fantastic! Coreen is amazing.

Save yourself the evening and pick another option in the village. If you do come here, do not get the eggplant parmesan. It was foul and undercooked. It felt like it was trying to go for fine dining but it fails to deliver. I recommend skipping this restaurant during your stay. Go to Sam's!!

Say you had a long day skiing and don't really want to hit up more pub of cafeteria food, say you have kids, say you are staying on the hill and just want to dress up and go out.....or not dress up. Highly recommend this beauty! Our server Chloe was absolutely amazing and super attentive to accommodate our family and make our little 3yo birthday extra special! The cocktails were wonderfully crafted by the bartender Rosie who came to check in after and the manager nick even popped by to make sure we were happy and say hi. The menu is well refined offering a small but delicious sounding selection and includes a good selection of "kid fare". The woods burger was not overly huge but delicious with a perfect side of crunchy delicious fries!

Kid-friendliness: Absolutely accommodating for our littles 5 and 3. Booster chairs and perfect selection of kids menus. Even fancy Sherly temple drinks!

A technical menu with lots of fancy words that I'm unsure the kitchen knows what they mean. The Salmon sounded good, looked good, but was sadly dry and over cooked and shriveled, the lentils were warm and as a chef I can say it was definitely sitting a while under the heat lamp.My husband's pasta dish was over powered by the tomato sauce and the duck confit was basically mushy ?His side order of fries was decent though! My over priced $18 expresso martini was sipped slowly as I've never had a drink that expensive and my husband did enjoy his $7 beer.I'm all for a beautiful menu with fancy wording but maybe slim it down and add some options for hungry skiers that just want a good filling meal like ribs and an awesome grilled but filling sandwich, maybe with a hearty sourdough and mouth watering chowder after a hard day skiing?.I fully respect your menu and it was very exciting to read, but overall very disappointing.
