We are from Port Hardy and today was the first time we tried the Canton restaurant. We don’t often get to try new Chinese restaurants but the Canton restaurant had great reviews so we gave it a try and we’re so happy we did .
We picked up five dishes and the portions were really great and not oily! I also ordered the War Wonton which didn’t disappoint! It was really good.
The quality of the ginger beef and the quality of the Almond chicken was the best we’ve ever had in the 52 years I have been on this planet. Many restaurants we’ve been to in the past serve the “fake chicken” certainly not here.
There was no delivery but picking it up was all worth it!
Oh yeah, the chicken chow mein was awesome with lots of bean sprouts and not too oily.
We give this restaurant five stars all day long!

We went to eat in for dinner, but due to staffing problems they are only doing take-out for dinner. That was OK, the waitress was friendly and quickly took our order. It was ready in 10 minutes. We ordered the family dinner for 4, it was absolutely delicious, the dish sizes were substantial. We definitely had leftovers. My sister-in-law can't have MSG, and they graciously made the dishes without. Great food for a reasonable price.

Amazing authentic guangdong/Cantonese Chinese food! I love this place! Portions are huge. Things are not too salty or oily. They are currently only doing take-out because of lack of staff (which is understandable). The owner is super kind and always so hardworking. The place is clean and inviting. I will definitely be coming back lots.I reccomend the black bean beef noodles, deep fried won tons, and bean sprout beef noodles.

Awesome small restaurant. Service was excellent. Will stop again.
Excellent food and terrific staff. Best Chinese food in town by far. We live in Sayward and are very pleased at how good the food is with a take-out order and 50 minute drive before we get home. Dining in is even better. Plus, the price is very reasonable. Never had a bad experience in 30+ years.

We visit Cantons 1-2 times per week. It took 3 visits for our server to memorize our orders, and ask if we even require menus. I enjoy sitting in, because of the quick service, and the staff. The owner, frequently pops out to ensure the food is on point, and get to know you. Our drinks our never empty, and the food is consistent, despite the nutty amount of take out they do! My initial reaction to the menu, was expensive, but after one visit, i underatood that i wanst getting one meal, i was getting two. Even this "fat bot," cant finish Canton's 'Fat Boy!'There arent many places in campbell river i recommend, but this is one inurge everyone to try, enjoy, and support!
Great food
Last week we ordered a take-out dinner at 5pm. We had a 50 min drive back to Sayward and the meal was still warm. We had been customers of the Rosebowl before it sold and never in all the years we went there had a bad meal. This meal was the worst Chinese meal we have ever had. Everthing looked like leftovers. Meat was tough and the chow mein inedible. We settled for frozen spring rolls instead. So now it's April 29, 2022 and we try and have a Chinese lunch. The "fat Boy" was recommended so we ask the waitress if we can split it. It cost $19.00 and we are told the minimum is $15.00 each, so no you can't. We are seniors and there is no hope that we can eat $30.00 worth of Chinese food. #1 any restaurant that wants to have customers realizes that seniors have different needs. We eat less. #2 The fat boy was $19.00 and if you add two coffees we are at $25.00. So, we left. Guess who lost out. We didn't spend $25.00 and we won't be back. This company should take a long, hard, look at their public relations.
