This is a grand spot if you’re looking for old style fish and chips. The table holes to hold your meal in a newsprint cone is really innovation but I didn’t connect with the staples needed to hold that cone together. The staff are down to earth and helpful. All the condiments you need you’ll find right on the table. The only off putting aspect was the layer of grease on the trays and tables from the overwhelming number of people who have water here over the years. The gluten free fish and chips were some of the best over ever eaten! Hats off to the chefs!

Went for dinner tonight. Loved the rustic family atmosphere. They went above and beyond with our order. Everything we could have hoped for in a local fish and chips diner. Will most definitely be back.

Nothing crazy! Went there hoping Salmon would be fresh.Nope. You do get a lot of fries for sure! I guess tourists will take the bait not locals. Way over priced.

I first ate there about 5 years ago. It was a must return. However, I recommend a stay away now. A 28.45 cod burger was more tomato than fish. I worked at Mc Cain’s and the fries we were served are bits that go to feed pigs not the paying public.

Was here a few days ago and got the family pack, the fish (cod) and chips were amazing and tasted fresh, and the fries were a good portion size. The family pack also came with lots of tarter sauce and condiments. The gravy was the best restaurant gravy I have ever had. I had 2 pieces of gluten free fish (which I requested as a part of the family pack deal for an extra fee) and it was very tasty. If you are ever in Campbell River and want some good fish and chips by the water, I highly recommend this place!

Always the most amazing food I’ve been coming to Dyck’s Fish & Chips for almost 10 years now!!!

Friendly people fish done right the traditional way with proper fries, good vinegar and amazing tartar sauce I give them 11 out of 10 and 17 stars if I could!!!

IT IS A STAPLE FOR ME AND MY MOTHER. EVERY TIME I COME TO VISIT ON THE ISLAND AND NOW THAT I LIVE HERE, YOU MAY SEE ME AROUND A LITTLE MORE OFTEN.!!
