We are not usually eating in restaurants, when we do.just a special occasion. We are giving tips as a sign of gesture, but not that much. However, this is the first time we encountered a waiter that is not satisfied for tip he received, barely approached us to tell that tip should be 15% or 20% or we will not make friends..for real?..

I had a very disappointing experience at Match Eatery last night. I went with my friends and family, including a child, and we arrived around 9 PM. The restaurant wasn’t busy, but we still waited more than 30 minutes for our food.Halfway through our dinner, the staff suddenly told us we had to leave within the next 3 minutes because minors aren’t allowed after 10 PM. If they had informed us about this rule when we arrived, we would have chosen another place. It was my friend’s wedding anniversary, and instead of enjoying the night, we were rushed out.We had also ordered a fizz drink for the kid, which was never served because “there wasn’t enough time.” Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had anywhere in Campbell River. Clear communication would have avoided all this.

Heartbreaking racism toward my 5-year-old child and my family.
We had a very hurtful experience at this restaurant. We went there with our friends as a part of celebration but when we called for help, a waitress hid instead of assisting us. Minutes before 10 PM, while we were still eating, they told us to leave as kids are not allowed after 10pm which they didn't mention to us earlier and they refused to serve my daughter a juice , so she started crying..when we asked for take out they refused that too. What made it even worse is that they showed this discriminatory behavior toward my 5-year-old daughter .
We are also temporary residents paying taxes, yet we were treated with clear discrimination. I have visited many restaurants, but I have never experienced racism like this before. No child or family should ever be treated this way.

Very disappointing experience at Match Eatery and Public House. The food was delivered late, and only after that they informed us that kids are not allowed after 10 PM — something they should have told us before we ordered. When we asked for a juice for the kid, the waitress and the manager on duty was extremely rude and impatient, even asking us to leave within 3 minutes. This was completely unacceptable. The customer service was pathetic and unprofessional. Definitely not a family-friendly place and not worth visiting again.

We went to Match to watch the Dodger's -Blue Jay game. The service was great. Just enough attention with perfect timing with coming to the table. The food was good and it was delivered promptly from the order. Just right too. More options for a Vegetarian would be appreciated.
