Have tried this place 3 times. We were expecting great food because we go to the Courtenay location and it's awesome. Here in Campbell River matches doesn't even come close to Courtenay's. Very disssppointing indeed. Embarrassing to us as we had 6 guests that seemed alittle shocked at the food, and the lack of service.Will not be recommending or coming back any time soon.They should figure out what Courtenay Matches is doing so well and then try copying them.

Very good service. Pleasant atmosphere but not a fan of the DJ music. Good menu selection and reasonable prices. Note to Salt Bae in the kitchen: Food was good but four orders of seasoned fries were way too salty.

I would really like to thank Ben Knight, the manager, for his solid efforts in creating such an exciting and sporting NFL season, culminating with Super Bowl Sunday. The bar is usually packed and buzzing and me and my friends always have a great time. The food and drink specials adds to this event as well as the jersey giveaways and prizes. Kudos to Ben and his staff, they did a tremendous job in looking after our group.

It's great for a night out with live music, the shuffle board and pool table, but service isn't the greatest and there are no celiac-friendly options. When we asked the server what was gluten free she replied "you tell me". It was for a work function so we had a fee different things to consider.I clarified my comment due to owners reply.
#1 NIGHT LIFE SPOT in Campbell River. The food is now consistently good. Steak is superb. Garlic bread dry as a saltine cracker. Management must have spanked the CHEF. Service is fast to slow however genuinely friendly. Mixed crowd of young & old confuses the DJ trying to pack the floor on Friday Nights but entertaining +! Live good old country to 80's rock on Saturdays. Make sure you blow @ $20.00 at the slots next door. Real endorsement for watchful eye, BEN, for trying to make this place the place to be. Support the nightlife eh! Get yer buds out here!

Went for happy hour to have our favourite carhop burgers and dirty fries. Sadly both were not good…they’ve changed the fries - they used to be skinny, now they’re curly. They were soggy and topped with powdered parmesan cheese so when it mixed with the hot sauce it turned into a sandy mixture and was inedible. The carhop burger that we usually love was so bland. My husband got the fish and chips which was also incredibly bland. Beer and service was fine. Oh well. We’ll just stay home next time

Ordered through skip the dishes. They forgot one meal, but Match reconciled the order very well. The meal was amazing, and they even gave coupons. Would definitely go back! 10/10

As a Skip driver, almost every time I go in there there's an extended wait for food that customers have already ordered 10-20 minutes beforehand. The wait staff in the bar area occasionally just completely ignore Skip drivers. Based on that, I would never go in as a customer and recommend that you do not order from them through any food delivery apps.
Ambience isn't too bad, but the DJ's music blows.
