Nice location, spacious and comfortable. Food was okay, but not out of this world. Entrees quite slow in coming, and some confusion with appetizers.
Server seemed rushed and didn't get everything right as a result, including a mistake on the final bills. I wouldn't rule out another visit, but wouldn’t go out of my way either.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at the Quay West restaurant after being rejected from the Riptide due to our group being too large (12 people). This was not an issue at this location and turned to be a blessing in disguise. The food was fresh and wonderful but what really set the meal apart was the wonderful service we got from the super friendly staff. This has become our go-to and will absolutely recommend it over the Riptide any day.

So the location and view is wonderful. The appetizer was delicious, but our main entree not so much. Very bland. The service was almost non existent. Our server isn't the one who brought our food. He never checked in on us and we eventually had to ask for our check. The where other servers who appeared to be working really hard.

I do not often give reviews but when I do it is because of either excellent service or unexpected quality. Rarely do I experience both at the same time, even more rare is to have both exceed my expectations However…this was the case at our recent visit to Quay West. We received a warm welcome with warmer smiles and prompt friendly service. Our plan was a quick snack and a cool beer…we ordered the ‘Bang Bang Prawns’ and the Onion Rings from the appetizer menu. i expected four breaded prawns…we received a meal that Gordon Ramsey would be proud to serve and the onion rings…perfectly seasoned and crispy AND…a full basket! A truly amazing experience…. Four thumbs up and ten Stars out of a possible five. Oh, and if, while sitting at the table at Quay West, you are wondering on the odd looking mountain across the water…it is known as Cowboy’s Hat and Dog Tooth Mountain but the official named is Mount Doogie Dowler.

Quite easily the most bizarre dining experiences of our honeymoon. We stopped in after driving by a large hand painted sign advertising frozen cocktails. Since it was one of the hottest days of the year we thought it’d be worth a stop.

We were seated a nice table by the water outside and given our menus. We located the offering of a pitcher of blended pina colada and decided to lock that in. The waitress eventually came by and gave us a monologue about how the menu that we had was out of date so they don’t offer the pina colada blended now. Okay let’s make it easier: we’ll just get beer. “Unfortunately someone messed up and all of our tapped beer is warm.”

Okay time to get ahold of a new drinks menu I guess: So we ask for a copy of the updated menu, well apparently she’d be told that the updated menu wasn’t allowed outside. So after some convincing her we’d take good care of her special menu she brings us out the new menu. The new menu only offers pitchers of blended margaritas, fine enough we’ll do that. She comes back and tells us that the classic margarita flavor is unavailable. Okay, we’ll get a mango margarita. She then leaves again. Comes back with a pitcher full of classic blended margarita (somehow now available?), but gives us an ear full about how the bartender says we don’t do pitchers of blended margaritas, (even though it’s advertised in bold at the bottom of the menu?!). Unfortunately the margarita was the worst I’ve ever had: brutally watered down and definitely did not containing the advertised amount of tequila or flavoring.

Bizarre place, bizarre service, the food was definitely the highlight and so were the laughs that came from the 45 minute journey we went on to receive a drink that they had gone out of their way to advertise on the sidewalk.

The place has a nice atmosphere and great views, and the service was friendly. However, the food didn’t live up to the price. On the first dish, the rice was overly sticky and the asparagus were extremely salty. On the second, the tuna in the bowl tasted far from fresh—it had a gelatinous texture that was off-putting. Unfortunately, despite the good service and setting, I wouldn’t return.

This is the second time I’ve eaten here. The first time was really great, good service and the Seafood Noodle soup was amazing. Today was different. I ordered the halibut tacos and the amount of halibut in each taco was so small. Disappointingly so. The flavor was bland, very meh. The best part was the fries. I was really looking forward to having the Seafood Noodle soup but sadly they took it off the menu. My friend ordered the salmon lox with bagel and the salmon looked awful. She couldn’t eat it. It’s been a mixed bag eating here with one good experience, and one bad. I probably won’t be back though. Be choosy what you order, would be my advice!

I ordered the smoked salmon bagel and was extremely disappointed. The salmon pieces were thin scraps from the ends — stringy, tough, and tasted off. It looked nothing like what you’d expect for the price. To make it worse, the service was just as poor — inattentive and careless. Definitely not somewhere I’d recommend or return to.

Well below average food quality for price. We tried to like the seafood, but after eating elsewhere on the island, it is clear it is bad. Sorry. Service and the patio view were good.
