We pulled in unexpectedly on our way home to comox from a hike. We were just going to grab a coffee but when we saw the menu we were pleasantly surprised especially when we saw the small pamphlet selling Korean take out with the most delicious looking menu! The food did not disappoint from the Korean bowls that were not overpowered spicy sauce and were perfectly balanced flavours and very fresh ingredients. The cheese cake was to die for and the plum tea was so refreshing and unique for me.As I was eating the food, I was too curious to know the story behind the man who prepared it because I knew there was something special there. Jaegseun (Jackson) Yoo told me that his grandfather had escaped northern Korea during the war and that his family had to use Korean cuisine as their only means to survive and make a living in China! I didn’t get a chance to ask much more about his story because he was getting busy and was working the place alone but I will definitely be back to try some of the other delicious looking items in the menu!I hope that Jaegseun has much success in Campbell river and I’d love to see him up his business with some more signage to let people know he sells bubble tea and Korean cuisine and maybe a chance to renovate to make the dine in experience even more cozy with some unique and personalized style and character ? that would bring the whole place together in the most artful way!Vegetarian options: Absolutely delicious and full of subtle yet fresh and rich flavour

Wow, this place has the best Korean food my husband and I have ever had, and we have been to many Korean places in the Lower Mainland. Everything is delicious: the japchae, mandu dumplings, veggie pancake, mushroom and tofu army stew...and if you eat in, you also get very tasty side dishes as an added bonus :) The portions are generous, food is of an excellent quality, and the prices are very reasonable. Service is friendly. And bonus - it's open late on Mondays (pretty special for CR!). This place is so delicious and a true gem in the town but still feels largely undiscovered so please give it a try and spread the word. I also encourage the restaurant to advertise more widely and improve their signage so people know that Kung Fu Cafe is also a Korean restaurant in the evenings!

Only one person who is working, so things can take awhile? Notice that Skip The Dishes came in to pick up , so food must be good. Only had a latte coffee and bubble tea. 15 $ for both.Parking: There are 3 other businesses in same parking lot. You just drive in and hope for the best.

This place is always so good! The food is fresh and hot and flavourful. Also love the new drunk menu. I got a real fruit mango and pineapple smoothie with coconut jelly and fried pork mandus. Both so good and the people who run it are so friendly ☺️

Delicious bagels from Saint Viateur (they actually ship them from Montreal!)! Excellent excellent coffee with alternate milk options. We’ve had a lot of coffee from all over the west coast over the last 3 weeks and we unanimously voted this one as the best (5 votes). We returned to this place on our way back through Campbell river. Can’t comment on other food options.

The coffee is excellent. The bagel sandwiches are delicious! We order take out often and love the bulgogi! The dumplings and cheesecake are outstanding.

Located in the same shop as Nesbits Coffee.Food was fantastic. Didn't expect such authentic tasting Korean food in Campbell River! A great place and the owner is fantastic. His grandfather was from North Korea and later moved to South Korea and China. The owner speaks Mandarin and Korean in addition to English.Such a great spot. Thanks for having me!

I like Korean food and I like this place, good bulgogi. Did you know they also make cheese cake? I will dine here again.

We ordered takeout and were quoted 30 minutes, but we still had to wait 20 minutes after we arrived. I hope they get their wait times down as they get more established, but I understand it was Saturday night and busy! The veggie jeon was so good, like a Korean fried veggie hashbrown it was delicious. My partner had the soy chicken and lettuce rice bowl and was underwhelmed. Maybe 6/10 but the taste was good. The fried mandu dumpling was so overwhelmingly green onioned, I wasn't a huge fan, but it was still fine. The mushroom and tofu bowl was also quite good. I got regular spicy level and it was very spicy, as to be expected.

What happened! Was so excited to try an exciting and new Korean place (which was so desperately needed) in Campbell river! My partner and I started by ordering the steamed mandu, caramelized kimchi + beef bibimbap and the plum Korean iced tea.I appreciate the three complimentary appetizers, they were tasty.( Always my favourite part of Korean dining.)We received our drink at the same time as our food (about 20 minutes after ordering) and it was the incorrect flavour, that’s forgivable. I understand we all make mistakes. But I was shocked when the steamed mandu was placed in front of me. A small little pulsating larvae was laying on top! like it had fallen from somewhere.I have an intense fear of bugs and immediately had to have my partner remove the plate and take it to the manager. He started by saying “no?” And then asked if he could remake our food but at this point I was white in the face. I couldn’t even think about eating anything. (I have been kicking myself in the pants for not taking a photo, but it was not the first thing on my mind)I will not be going back until hygiene improves or until these problems are addressed. I am horrified and disappointed.Really hope I can come back when things improve.

Zannchi is my go to place to get cozy, delicious food. Each item on the menu is packed with flavor and expertly crafted. My wife and I get the food regularly whether it's delivery or sit in - it is of a consistently high standard.Highlights on the menu are the Mandu dumplings, the various rice bowls and if you have the time I highly recommend getting the Korean BBQ- the pork K-BBQ is amazing. The newly added Tteok-bokki is an awesome addition and perfect comfort food!Thought I would give an updated review as I first tried Zannchi during it's initial roll out and the menu has expanded so much since then.
