My wife and I stopped in today for lunch. I had the Railside burger and my wife had a clubhouse. I must say most delicious! And thank you Krista with a K š. Much appreciated
Fantastic food and very friendly staff. Best fish and chips weāve had in years and my husband loved your Greek burger! Huge portions, brought half home!
I recently had dinner at The Railside Restaurant, and it was such a wonderful experience! I ordered the Swiss mushroom burger and fish and chips, both of which were delicious. Our server, Krista, was incredibly kind and attentive, always ensuring we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this charming little place in Chase for a memorable meal!
After hearing amazing things about the food and staff from a lot of people, we decided to make a drive to Chase from Kamloops, order dinner for takeout and eat at Memorial Park. The staff were super friendly & welcoming and dinner only took 15 minutes till ready! Our order of a JalapeƱo popper appy, Battered mushrooms appy, the Greek Burger, and a 2 piece fish and chips were DELICIOUS (and be aware we are picky foodies!) Big hot portions, very generous dips and condiments (tzatziki was excellent), cutlery, and lots of napkins and the food in labelled containers which we appreciated. My husband really enjoyed the unique Greek burger on pita bread with tzatziki, feta and crisp veggies. The fish was large, thick, bright white and had an excellent crispy light beer batter. Fresh cut fries were awesome and coleslaw was crunchy and fresh. Appys were goodā¦nice and crunchy and āmore-ishā. I brought home half my meal for lunch tomorrow!
We eat out often and have become very disillusioned with most of the restaurants in BCās interior. The Railside did not disappoint in the slightest and is now on our favourites list. Great food, great staff. Well worth the 45 min scenic drive from Kamloops. HIGHLY recommended! š

went for sunday slow cooked roast beef. I expected a slow cooked roast to literally be able to cut with a fork but no, the beef was tough - it was carved with the grain instead of across the grain - veggies were good variety but had been sitting in a tray for long time and very soggy, chef special potatoes were nothing special. We started with battered mushrooms which were supposed to come with our choice of dipping sauce - no choice offered but we did get ranch which was okay. on a plus side the yorkshires and the gravy were both very good. very noisy table of 10 or so at the other end of the restaurant was extremely distracting and they should have been asked to keep it down a bit in respect for other patrons. portions were huge , actually too large to fully enjoy the meal but maybe that's what is wanted in the area.

Have had a hard time finding a good restaurant in the area. We live in Celista. Large portions, tasty food and staff was great. Best restaurant I have been to in the last year.

First let me start by saying, there were things about this meal that were very good. The server was lovely and caring. The vegetables on the burger and in the Caesar salad were crisp and fresh. The homemade burger sauce was one of the best I have had. The Caesar dressing was made in house and was very good. The liver and onions my wife had were superb, and a nice surprise to find on a menu today. My criticisms were that the Burger was ground fine, spiced poorly and overcooked. I was told it was house made by the server and fresh and it seemed to be more like a poor premade patty. I was told it was not, but I think can definitely be improved. A burger is a simple thing, good fresh ground chuck or brisket beef, seared well, spiced with salt and pepper....but no one seems to be able to make a good one anymore in Canada. The other issue was 1/2 Carafe of wine.....25 dollars, but seemingly oxidized and poor taste, I attributed to storage. I am told they use boxed wine to avoid this, so it may have been heat, or just past date, but again assured after that this is not the norm. Chase is small, so the options are few, but this place is lovely, clean and has a broad menu. I noted the lasagne at the table next to us was a huge portion and looked and smelled very good. There are many other options that have great potential.
Update: I heard from the owner, as she was diligent in reading the reviews, and responded directly to me. She was lovely and very engaged in ensuring that Railside is nothing but the best and wanted to know specific details about the meal and experience. She pledged to make it better and realized after talking to me some of what could have been the issue that night and assured me it is not the norm, by any stretch. I am going back as this is definitely someone wanting to make things not just better, but as good as possible. She is definitely not the normal of today, where quality, value, and exceptional are not even possible in most places. Most restaurants try to have a 4 star charge, while offering as little as possible with pre made, par cooked, microwaved or warmed up mediocrity. Not the case here. They are trying hard to be different, and I am impressed.

Great place to eat just off the highway. Food was delicious and the service was wonderful. Our meal went a bit past closing time. The staff was so friendly and insisted we take our time as they had cleaning to do anyways. We will be back the next time weāre in Chase.

I was skeptical of going back, as the past few times were not good meals. I'm happy to say that the food was great. Everyone at our table had something different and everyone had good things to say. They won me back, without even knowing they had ?
