Me and my boyfriend quickly googled a brunch location on our way back home from Cowichan and stopped into the Coffee Shack on a complete whim (Sept 27th, 2025). We are SO happy we did because we had such great service, space was great and not very busy and atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. We ordered two lattes and two bacon Bennys and they arrived very quickly. I have to say, that was by far the best eggs benny I've ever had. My boyfriend was also over the moon! Round of applause to the server and chef, they were doing a fabulous job. I did let them know but I also felt compelled to write a review. Well done Coffee Shack, we will be returning!

When I asked for an egg salad sandwich, they said they only had sourdough or a croissant. We went to the dirty table, I looked around and it was not busy at all, no meal time rush or anything. The Sandwich came with construction grade toasted sourdough bread that when biting into the foam insulation (toast) it caused the egg salad to ooze out the other end like calking gone wrong. The Americano was served in a mug with lipstick still on it. Unfortunately, I didn't notice right away so I had greasy lips and an unfinished coffee/lunch. When I got home, I noticed my pants had a glob of something I had picked up from the chair. The saving grace is, at least you took care of my Wife. Everything she had she seemed pleased with. So, thanks for that.

Super friendly staff and owner. Clean & spacious.
Park in the shopping mall lot and walk upstairs (entrance on outside / road side of plaza)
