This is the best and true authentic Vietnamese food. We have both pickup and dine in and it’s perfect every time. The vegetarian/vegan options are amazing.

Support this place, they deserve it 😊

Food usually so good…but sitting here for well over an hour from ordering while the line up of delivery persons keep getting served…I’m hungry!

A wonderful local spot! The pho was delicious and comforting with generous portions, and the Vietnamese iced coffee was one of the best I’ve ever had. Service was a little slow but they were cranking out orders with only one server and one person in the kitchen, and the food was definitely worth the wait. Will be going back soon and definitely recommend this place!

This place is my favorite Pho on the island. Pho #1 has all the right things. We at Vansle don’t always have access to basil and most times cilantro garnishes the pho.
If you notice no basil it’s gonna work with the cilantro.
The grilled pork lemongrass is also a favorite go-to. This place is a family-owned classic and highly recommended.

Peak Vietnamese. The cha giao (deep fried spring rolls) are clearly hand made and cooked to a perfect deep golden brown. They have a good crunch without overcooking the mix inside. Dipping sauce is a classic nuoc cham. Balanced, but lacking the heat in a clear and reasonable compromise with Canadian tastes. When I asked for some chili to add, they happily brought it out. I had a bowl of pho which was also excellent. Clear broth just exploding with flavor. The rice noodles were cooked just right and not clumpy. Generous bean sprouts, cilantro and Thai basil. Service was friendly, attentive and bilingual (English and Vietnamese). The decore has hole in the wall vibes: dated but well maintained and very very clean.

We visited Chemainus while on vacation and were blown away by their incredible food! Their Curry Chay (V5) was so delicious. Great food at good prices. Definitely visit them if you like Vietnamese food!
